NORINCO Type 56s Ser No. MS00214XX 7.62x39mm MADE IN CHINA SILE NY NY Blued bolt carrier and "purple" colored bolt. I read that was significant somewhere. Never fired. Bayonet with sheath attached No box, magazines, or other stuff.    I cant seem to insert actual photos...When I edit the post, I see the pictures, but after I submit, I just get these links. |

Another Mak 90 Sporter.
This was what I consider a "rescue gun". When I got it, it was covered in tan Krylon with an old butchered Draganov stock on it. The forearm wood had been painted black, with bare threads on the muzzle. I put in a G2 trigger and installed Kvar furniture to make it 922r compliant. Added the Polish folding stock and a muzzle brake. Did a sponge camo on it, just because. All springs are strong, and it's a smooth shooter. All serial numbers match.

I appreciate your help. Your welcome. The second pic the entire stock set looks to be Polytech. The lighting of the pic shows the color much better in the 2nd pic. I would bump the price up to $175-200 for the entire set since im pretty certain it all Polytech.Ebay gets some crazy prices on these if you put the correct search words in the title. A NIB unfired Polytech milled National Match. It's still in the original box with all the accessories including the weird flash suppressor and manual. Factory threaded barrel as I believe they all were. The guy I got it from had bought 6 back in the early 90's and wore gloves every time he handled it.
Oh and would it really hurt the value that much to fire it? Thanks! |

Yes if you fire it it will hurt the value by about $200-300,sorry but thats the truth,this is a true collector piece. Here is some info on pricing-' The owners manual is worth by itself if in mint condition- $150-200 Flash suppressor (most are missing) $100-125+ The rifle unfired with everything- $ 2000-2500 on gunbroker.price could go higher if you get the right people bidding.i have seen one unfired go for $2500. If you shoot it look for $1800-1900 Whatever you do keep everything as it was in mint condition,the value will only go up. Hope this helps

I changed the pic url's Not real up to date on the Yugo's but i would say $900-1100 on auction sites.I may be a little off on these. Most of the time any AK built on a kit will bring less money than a factory built rifle as im sure you already know. Now the RPK is a sweet one 
Original factory built ones are rare and bring well over $2000. Im going to guess since its a kit gun $1400-1800 it could go for more as not a lot of these are in circulation. Nice collection for sure.These are estimated auction site prices,EE prices will likely be less as well as private sales Hope this gives you a rough idea what they may be worth

Been out of the hobby for awhile. I bought this SAR-1 with laminated wood probably about 12 years ago. I remember paying $320 at AIM Surplus. I splurged the extra $20 or whatever it was for the nice wood. How much are these going for these days? Not that I'm planning on selling.

Norinco Hunter by IDE McClean
Anyone have an up to date value on these rifles? Time to trade this POS shotgun patterning rifle off for something a little more accurate. Truly shoots a 2-3 foot pattern no matter irons or several different scopes. Bought years ago used cheap so no great loss. I would love to add another AK back to my collection to keep my SAR1 company. Metal Finish is near 100% with no scratches. Minor scuffs on the wood. Pictures don't show it well.

The rifle looks to be in excellent shape.The reason your groups probably are as bad as they are is the trigger in these.They are pretty much garbage. These rifles are sought after as a lot of conversions are done on them due to the milled receiver and make a pretty cool rifle once some work is done. I would sell this on gunbroker for your best price on this.List it as a Norinco Hunter.Take good pics of everything and mention the original scope mount and that it is milled. This should sell pretty easy for $500-800.I wouldnt sell it for less than $500,be patient and you should get a good return on it I have seen this model condition sell for $700-800 but with no scope mount before |

These rifles are sought after as a lot of conversions are done on them due to the milled receiver and make a pretty cool rifle once some work is done. I would sell this on gunbroker for your best price on this.List it as a Norinco Hunter.Take good pics of everything and mention the original scope mount and that it is milled. This should sell pretty easy for $500-800.I wouldnt sell it for less than $500,be patient and you should get a good return on it I have seen this model condition sell for $700-800 but with no scope mount before Thank you! Yes this rifle is in beautiful condition inside and out. IPotato sucked taking this picture today. The trigger is incredibly smooth. LONG but smooth! I've had a number of other decent shooters try this gun and none could manage any kind of group. It is absolutely horrible to the point of simply being useless. This safe queen needs a new home. My SAR1 and both my Norinco and Yugo SKS all shoot very good groups. I do know they use to make PSL and similar look alikes out of these and had considered it early on in ownership but just too many other guns and coals in the fire to bother with this one. |

No, that is not a Polytech NM-47, it's a Norinco MAK-91 and it's worth about $1,200 give or take, especially used and without the box. This is what an NM-47 looks like:

Yes that would be a great trade on your end of the deal. Keep in mind that the Norinco has a slant ended cut receiver and you will need to buy a special slant ended cut rear stock from ironwood designs to make it fit and look correct. If you do the trade make sure you get the correct milled slant cut rear stock from ironwood,it will need a bit of minor fitting. Here is a milled Norinco i de banned using the slant cut Ironwood stock.I had to refinish the wood as it was not finished. If you need any help with purchasing the correct stock or refinishing tips let me know

Got a chance to buy this from a late friends collection, need a fair value. It looks to be unfired, and has no markings on receiver, other than the 56S, and the 022x serial on the trunion Barrel has a small import mark which i have tried to picture..... Looks to read GLNIC LA CA
Also have a paratrooper SKS Factory 26 marking, Trident arms import, very nice shape looks new, no cleaning rod....

I personally would not sell one in that condition for less than $1800 The SKS is worth @$350-400 |

Ironically, I am the owner of the NM in the picture posted earlier in this thread. What do you think the value of this AK might be? I'll try to include another picture of it here. If the other picture works, pay no attention to "Kalashna-kitty" in the picture also! Just the gun, no box or docs.

These are mostly collector rifles as the numbers i have seen that were imported in this configuration before the 89 ban was about 200-300 of the NM imported. They hold less value than a regular Legend due to the demand for the shorter barreled Legends even though such few were imported. The flash hider alone is worth $100-150 as most are lost over the years,etc. NIB or LNIB would net $2000-2500 i have seen some go higher. Yours like it is $1800-2000 maybe more depending on the market.Prices are gunbroker prices,private sales or EE would be a bit lower Hope this helps |

This guy wants to sell me this AK. Comes with everything in the pictures including the wood stock. Any estimates to what the rifle would be worth? This is what he told me:
"It's a maadi AK shoots like a charm you can put any ammo through it and works great. Always cleaned to military inspection clean. And stored in dehumidifier safe. Bought from my brother last fall and he got it from century arms (the importer) about a year before that. Still have the original wood stock I can swap out if that's what youd like."

The first looks like a MISR from Century but would need more pictures to confirm (doesn't look it has the chinese hodded front sight). If it is a MISR it is worth around $500 or so as they are mixmasters normally made with chinese and egyptian parts. Second AK in the wood furniture is tough to make out what it is. Has a 24mm FSB and what looks like a Bulgarian AK-74 buttstock. Handguards looks to be Bulgarian as well but it is tough to tell. Need more pictures and info to determine the value on the second AK. |
