These aren''t your run of the mill mild steel targets. These are high quality AR500 Steel Metal Shooting Targets from Spartan Armor Systems . Made in house at our facility in Tucson, AZ, these American-made steel targets will last many hours of shooting enjoyment! Just as with body armor made from AR500 steel, these targets can withstand impacts from rounds such as 7.62x51 (M80 Ball), 7x62x39, M193. NOTE: Steel targets are designed to be shot from a distance of at least 100 yards with non-armor piercing or penetrator rounds.

AR500 steel is an abrasion resistant alloy that has a Brinell hardness rating of 500. Available from only a handful of steel mills throughout world, high quality certified AR500 steel is the preferred material for steel targets because of its ability to withstand repeated hits from high velocity, large-caliber handgun and rifle rounds. Depending upon the thickness of the steel shooting target, the caliber and type of ammunition being used and the distance between the shooter and the target, AR500 steel targets can be expected to last a very long time.
