I cannot decide on a red dot for the scorpion. I put the aimpoint pro on there and its just too big and will not co-witness with the cz sights. The only one I think will co witness with the cz sights are probably a aimpoint micro with the standard mount, but I don't want to shell out 600 plus. I am torn my budget is around 400.
|
|
Meopta makes some smaller red dots for under that.
They are also listed as a CZ accessory. |
|
Find yourself a Leupold delta point. soon will have the pro out and it can be had for under 300. If u can find it. Perfect optic for the evo if you want a low mount. I have one on my glock I will mount on the evo and take a pic for you. I prefer a big sight so my mepro is what I'm running. Co witness doesn't matter to me
|
|
I retract my last post. I mounted the aimpoint, deltapoint, and mepro. None of them will co witness. The aim point ML3 and the deltapoint are at the same height.

Is there no lower mount for the deltapoint? That thing looks ridiculous since it looks like it triples the height of the sight.

Im using a vortex 1x spitfire since red dots blow for my astigmatism. It sits up too high even with the "low" base on it.

PA micro should work fine.
Seems like the best option for your price and cowitness |
|
Bushnell TRS 25 is an absolute cowitness on my Evo pistol. Really like it and it's very affordable.

The Primary Arms micro that has been talked about, is it low enough for cowitness?
Still on the fence on the CZ Evo, I want to SBR it, just not seeing much from CZ yet. |

I'll probably be adding a Holosun HS403G in a low QD T1 mount.
|
|
Burris Fastfire III will co-witness, will try to get pics up tomorrow...

I have given up on the factory cz sights I put on some magpul flip ups. I bit the bullet and picked up the Aimpoint h1 with a larue 751 mount which looked good on the scorpion, but then I made the mistake of throwing the h1 on my Ar and now I don't want to take it off !! So I took the Aimpoint pro removed the riser and placed it on my scorpion. It's large but functional

The Larue requires a solid rail to clamp properly. |

|
Ok I see the issue now. So I would need a mount that has a full cross bar going across to get the proper support and not risk damage to the mount and rail.

Used to think Larue mounts were the best.
Now... not so much. I heard they screwed up rails on the Benelli forums for the Benelli M4 too. Anyone try an Aimpoint T2 on one of these yet? |

View Quote In their defense, the mounts fit everything up until a few people started using these (non-spec) split rails (IWI Tavor mainly). It won't damage anything, just won't secure properly if there is a gap in the middle of the rail. |

I'm trying to decide between the meopta or the rmr with the rm33 mount

I have read that the Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 Red Dot Sight Riflescope, 1 x 25mm will co witness. It is a cheaper sight- only around $90

I went back and forth on it. Originally was going to do a Primary Arms or a Vortex Sparc II. Then I grabbed a good deal on a T2 for about $660. I wanted to go with something really tiny and still bombproof.

I'm still waiting on my Meopta. Will post a review on it when I get it. The people I ordered from completely screwed up the order but I should have it next week.

I don't know when but it is what I heard from the local gun shop here in eugene. So hopefully sometime soon because I wish to do the same I'm just waiting for the original part to come out... it will look the best on the gun I think the brace looks funny as well as any others I have seen. |

Was also thinking about the Vortex Razor but not real keen on the button locations for brightness. Kind of hard to reach. Did you get the Meopta yet? Yes I did but haven't had a chance to do a review on it yet. Wife is TDY so I'm playing mister mom and my basement just flooded. Never a dull moment. Anyway, I did shoot it briefly and like it so far. Nice sight picture and easy to acquire the target. I need to go back and read the instructions because I was having issues adjusting the brightness when it first turned on but pretty sure it was me not pushing the button correctly. (long push vs. quick push etc.) It comes with a additional riser plus the one that is already on it. Initially I thought the one that came on it was removable so it could mount lower but it is not. You can take it off but it's actually the adapter for the QD mount and the mount will not go directly on the optic if that makes sense. I'll try and get some pics up soon. With that said it seems to be at a pretty good height for me as is. The real test will be when I can get a stock on it and see were my cheek weld is. Obviously it does not co-witness with the irons but for me the irons are way too low anyway. I'll try and follow up shortly with pics and more details. Sorry about the delay. |
