i thought so, especially for not having access to a rear sight pusher. i didn't have any issues and this was my first attempt at replacing sights on any pistol. just go slow and take your time.

Meprolight TruDot on a G19 - I bought these after my stock rear came off. Seem to be pretty rugged, and are easy to see and use.

Ameriglo Pro Operators
-Previous experience with regular Glock sights and SIG NS(Green/Green Meps I believe)

Bottom line, I like these sights. The Green/Green NS on the P226 weren't bad at all, but the yellow/green is a better combo IMHO... as is the white ring on the blade and "subdued" rears. During both daylight and lowlight shooting the front is clearly distinguished from the rear.

There is also a extra space on both sides of the front sight vs. standard Glock sights. The image below accurately demonstrates the actual sight picture on my G26.

The only maintenance issue I have had so far(1.5 yrs) is with the white ring. It's painted on(good thing), and I needed to freshen it up. This was easily accomplished with some White Out.

Compared to the Factory Glock sights, ANYTHING else is better. Those Ameriglo Operators appear to be outstanding, with regards to as close to perfect a sight-picture as anything I've ever seen or used. Not too big, not too tall, not too wide (both front and back). If I were in need of a pair of Glock sights, they'd be at the top of my list.

Here is my 2 Gen. Glock 19 with the XS Big Dot sights. As I said before, I'm not as good as James Yeager is, but I'm trying. I have done one match with them and they are fast to get hits on the target, but I did not have any luck with the five small steel plates?!?

Here is my target from just seven ( 7 ) yards when I shot my Glock 19 side by side with a Glock 17 for compairson. Here's a close up after the first five shots, Glock 19 on the left and the Glock 17 is on the right.

After ten shots.

And after fiveteen shots.

These shots shown above were aimed with a slow string of fire, as you can see I had a tighter group with the factory sights on the Glock 17, then I did on my Glock 19 with the XS Big Dot sights. I did get hits with them on a small target area at a extended range and I am pleased with them, I'm just not "OverJoyed" with them. Here are some more targets I've shot with them, these were shot from the low ready position with a rapid string of fire, usually two or three shot's at a time (Hoping that I don't get kicked off the range for being so un-safe?). This way a box of ammo goes further and I get more mag reloading pratice. As you can see, I am able to get center-mass hits with no flyers. I think this is mostly due to pistol "Indexing" or "Pont Shooting". Whatever that is, it works! With the XS Big Dots you just have to cover the target with the front sight and press the triger.

Thats a mouth full...
Short review. Don't have any serious complaints really. As long as you have a sight pusher and a flat file, they should install fine.
As far as range/target sights, they are fantastic.
As far as carry/CCW sights, they could be better.
The rear sight is perfect, serrated to almost negate any glare, and a single solitary dot/trit that keeps it simple.
The front sight, is the only short coming IMHO. Some people will love it. I however would like a more visible/contrasting sight.
Im considering painting it or something.

XS Big Dots...

I ran these for a little over two years. These were the first non-stock sights I ever tried and the principle seemed solid at the time. What I came to learn over time was that they really only excelled at very close ranges, the kind of ranges where most trainers simply advocate using the rear of the slide as a reference to deliver shots very quickly as will be needed up close.

As the distances grew you took a hit in the accuracy department. This came to light when during a carbine course I ran out of ammo and had to transition to my pistol at the 75 yard line, while I was able to keep all 5 shots fired on the target it still didn't instill much confidence if I ever needed to make a hit from down the block or inside a school/mall/whatever.

That led to me trying out the Warren Tactical sights. I went with a tritium front and plain rear...

Right away I was really digging these. The extra light around the front allowed me to pick up the sight very quickly and increased my situational awareness. A flash sight picture comes very quickly while still allowing for VERY precise shot placement.

And now I am at the ideal solution IMO (note these are mounted on a M&P, not Glock) running a plain Warren rear with a fiber optic front...

The FO front helps draw my eye even faster while still providing all the benefits of the sights above. To offset the lack of tritium I run a pair of Crimson Trace grips for use in low light. About the only downside in my mind is with tritium it allows you to quickly locate the pistol in the dark if you are using it as a nightstand gun, though honestly there isn't much of an advantage to FO indoors anyway.

I had the Warren sights with ( plain black rear and Red fiber optic front sight ) My eyes never were able to pickup the front sight ( wasted money )

for a while, i used the BIG DOT on a Sig 245. They were good, and easy as 'dot the i' for sight alignment. Brutal tho for any aiming beyond 30 yards, that is, to keep tight accuracy.

I now have the standard size XS on my XD9 serivce size, where they are working Great!!!
My G23 wearsTRU DOT nite sights, which are a fine set of 3 dotsights.
The G21sf I just picked up has a Trijicon front with the factory Glock plastic rear. I'm not that entheused with just the front sight lit, and will most likely go with the XS Standard dot setup when funds allow.

I wanted to go with the Heinies, but have read similar reviews as the poster above.

Very nice. Thats the .180 rear? I've been seriously considering getting that plain .180 rear plus a narrow tritium from for my Gen 4 19... After having used the Warren Tactical for a while I'm wanting something a bit lower profile on my carry gun.

Checkmate762 inspired me to give the TFOs a try, so I ordered two sets last week and just installed them today. Since my Sigs and HKs wear yellow/green Trijicons I decided to take that route for the sake of consistency. Can't wait to try them out-thank you Checkmate762!

That's a good picture of the sight, at arms length. Brings out the true view.

Guys, if you're taking close up pictures, activate the macro on your camera. It helps keep the dimensions realistic with distance.

10-8 serrated rear with .125" notch and Heine .215" tall front with tritium insert. I'm extremely happy with this setup. I find the tritium front stands out well during day or night and is easy to pick up at night without having tritium in the rear sight.

I had trouble with the Big Dot rear sight so I tried this. Works great!

Just drop the golf ball in the rear notch and shoot.

One of the best sights is the standard glock sights on my 30 great point of sight picture, quick recognition. Wouldn't change to night sights or a 2 or 3 dot set up. I've tried the other variants and this is what I shoot the best. The other is just a waste of money. I paint all my sights to mock this set up.

I'm thinking about finally upgrading from the stock stuff on my 23. I'm looking at either an Ameriglo gl-112 front and gc-56r-180 rear OR the Ameriglo gft-113. Obviously the gft-113 is fiber optic while the other combo is tritium. Would I be better off with the tritium for my regular carry weapon? I'm not entirely sold on the fiber optic concept, mostly because I have never used a set of fiber optic sights.

I do like the idea of a squared front edge on the rear sight for clearing malfunctions. Otherwise I'd just go for the Ameriglo Hackathorn set.

I just purchased the hackathorn set for my glock 20sf and was skeptic at first but they are great sights and I am very impresssed this is the first time I have used these sights I have always used the 3 dot sights, I can say I will order another set for my 29sf.

That set up looks amazing. My only question is if you don't have a rear sight anymore why do you still have a front sight?

Ameriglo GL103. Green front and yellow rear. I didn't care about the color, the yellow rear set was a few dollars cheaper than the green rear set.

And yes, I know that I don't have my sight alignment right in this picture. It's tough to take a picture of the sights lined up correctly, when looking at a relatively small view finder screen. I'm a lover, not a photographer.
