I think these are the same NiB bcg's sold by 7.62 industries and a few others. I did a LOT of searching on BCG's for my Maten build and I didn't like what I heard about these NiB BCG's that seemed to always be in stock everywhere. Rough machining and 'zipper' sounds when loaded into your brand new upper as rough edges and burs cut grooves into your receiver. I know, just a tool... but still... for over 300 bucks?

I spent extra and just bought the JP BCG, this thing is like silk in my upper and functions perfectly. I don't regret the purchase at all, I got mine from brownells.

HeadinSand posted the link above me. I'm using the JP SCS system, the .308 version, which will work fine in the ar15 carbine or rifle extension. http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/stock-forend-parts/recoil-parts/recoil-buffers/ar-15-ar-style-308-jpscs-silent-captured-spring-system-prod53853.aspx

I'm also using a SLR rifle works DA7 adjustable gas block. It runs perfect tuned somewhere in the middle. I can open it up all the way and it functions fine as a std gas block, but recoils more.

Thanks for the info. got a link to the gas block? Never worked with the adjustable gas blocks. Are they easy to tune?

Its the JPBC-4BA.

The DA7 http://www.slrrifleworks.com/products/adjustable-gas-block is simple to adjust. It comes with a tool, just tighten to close or loosen to open up. The adjustment screw is held by a detent and clicks like scope adjustments and doesn't move once set. I've got about 200 rnds through mine so far and it has been flawless.

Great, I just ordered one of those.... along with one of their match barrels. I hope their barrels aren't contoured and chambered by the same machinists.

No they are not.  Don't worry you won't be disappointed with a Rainier Arms barrel.
