Specs:
Aero Precision Upper/Lower
Stag Arms 20" HBAR 1/9 CL 1/2x28, 5.56mm
Stag Arms FA BCG
Stag Arms CH w/extended latch
B5 Sopmod Gen2
AT3 Tactical 12.5" FF RAS
YHM flip up front sight gas block
KAC 2-600 rear sight
KAC rail covers(11 rib, Vero Beach)
CNC Warrior Phantom Threaded brake(7/8X1)
AN/PVS-14 mount(surplus)
ARMS #22 throw lever rings(High, perfect cowitness @1.46)
Nikon P-223 3-9x40 600BDC
Butler Creek flip up Objective cover(#30)
Butler Creek ARD(KillFlash, #8)
Caldwell bipod adapter(non qd)
Blackhawk! 6-9 adjustable bipod
Surefire 6P weapon light, mounted by a GG&G qd ring clamp, w/FM35 flip off Red Filter

For now it has a standard Trigger, but I'm getting on the "I can wait" list for a MBT from Mark.

I assembled this rifle with a very heavy influence from the SAM-R and MK12 threads, I really wanted a SAM-R clone but most of the required parts are unobtanium or priced way out of my price range due to scarcity so this is what I came up with.  It will be used to take Hogs, Deer, Coyotes, etc(not a safe/bench queen).

Now I have to decide if she needs some krylon makeup...

It's solid.  If I decide to do something M110ish I'll use their 308 rail.

How do you like the tango 4?

I like it quite a bit.  I haven't seriously tested it.  Just shot with it some for groups awhile back.  I'm also relatively new to scopes of this nature so take what I say with a grain of salt.

In my opinion, it's like a PST, except better in every way.  They took a lot of the desirable features from Vortex and improved upon them or added even more.  It "seems" to be built a little nicer.  Glass is better, or at the very least equal.  The turrets are much nicer.  The power ring is smoother.  Knurling done well and in the right places.

If you had to nitpick...

The illumination isn't super bright.  It's longer and heavier than some others.

But all in all, I think it's really nice.

Link Posted: 10/29/2016 1:57:36 AM EDT
[#20]

this is my second try getting my pic up... I'm new to this forum, just getting the hang of photo sharing...

My SPR so far....
This was my second build, and while there is more to be done as money allows, I'm loving how it's turning out.  I didn't set a budget like I did with my first build, and wow it adds up quick!  still better/less expensive than buying off the rack.  For those that don't know... the founder of V Seven used to be the lead tech at Noveske before leaving to start his own company.  They are doing some great things with light weight components. For a forged reciever set it has some great machining making it look almost like billet.

Upper:V Seven Forged
Ballistics Advantage Premium 18" SPR profile(guaranteed sub MOA)
.223 Wylde 1:8 twist with nickel boron extension 416R SS
Yankee Hill block
melonite coated gas tube
F1 brake
Nickel Boron(NIB1) coated BCG
Matrix Arms Charlie 15" Keymod (only $100!?!?)
Spike's FA
Spike's Polymer Dust Cover
Fortis Hammer

Lower:V Seven Forged
V Seven titanium takedown pins
POF 4.5 lb. single stage trigger & anti roll pins
Seekin's Ambi Saftey
Seekin's Trigger guard
Spike's Mag Release
Spike's Bolt Catch
MFT Minimalist Stock w/550 cord mod
MOE grip
Sand colored PMag boiled in red RIT dye

Bushnell AR Optics 3X12X40 scope
Weaver Mount
Dagger Defense 45* BUIS

Still contemplating butt stock options... leaning twards LuthAR, and I'm eyeing a few more upgrades from V Seven.

I will upgrade the optics eventually but that  bushy 3-12 ar optics is actually a decent scope.
I have Ceracoat plans for this build too that I'll be posting on a different thread later.

Looks like the "top of 3 shots" is actually 2 rounds. Hole is more an ellipse which indicates 2 rounds nearly on top of each other. That'll work.

Wasn't the best day for shooting groups, but the 77 grainers really sail to the 600 meter target. With the adjustable gas block and saker 556, it feels like shooting a pellet gun. Less gas being pushed through the ejection port makes a load of difference for the noise at the ear as well. I would pretty much call it hearing safe under most conditions.

I am on the fence about snagging a DPMS recon G2 and making a .308 DMR out of it in a similar configuration, but man is a 5.56 AR fun to shoot
