I have been unable to find this on my own.  I need an M12x1.0 bolt, 25-35mm in length for a project.  1.0mm thread pitch is "ultra fine," and while I can find "extra fine" 1.25mm pitch bolts all over the place, this ultra fine pitch is unicorn teeth.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Stuff like this is why I still hate the fact that SmallParts.Com was bought by Amazon.   It's hard to find what you're looking for when it's buried under mountains of crap from China that will never ship.

Same thread as most banjo bolts, can one of those work?

I usually try my local Fastenal store first.  If they don't have it in stock, they can usually get it there next day.

Flywheel bolt would be my guess also. Very common in that application.

OP, many of the oem bolts are grade 12.9. This may be tough to find unless you get one from the dealer.
I have used grade 10.9 from fastenal on cars with ~500whp (over 2x stock) and havent had any problems.

That's a 1.25 pitch fastener.  I have not found ANY 1.0mm pitch 12mm fasteners on McMaster-Carr's site.  I have crawled over the whole thing...

It looks like the Banjo bolt is my answer.  The only sources folks here provided that were indeed 1.0mm thread pitch were the flywheel bolts - and I don't need 8 (or to spend $60), I just need one.

Thanks all!

Couldn't find a bolt with 1.0 pitch on McMaster Carr but they did have low strength threaded rod.

Fashion something up from that?

91415A150  Zinc Plated Steel Hex Nut, Class 8, M12x1 Thread Size, 19mm Wide, 10mm High, packs of 10

nut

98861A602  Low-Strength Steel Fully Threaded Rod, M12 Thread, 1mm Pitch, 150mm Long

threaded rod

OP, why such a fine thread?  Usually those are spec'd for a high strength app because of the high root diameter, an app for which a banjo bolt would be insufficient.

Have you considered a trip to a local Honda dealer ? I have 2 and 1 is great and 1 would struggle to sell you an oil filter , But a flywheel bolt should be easy .

The ones I use must be m10 x 1mm, the m12 x 1mm looks like it might be unobtainium.

Be careful with the banjo bolts if you need any strength from the joint. Being hollow with holes in the side doesn't help things.
They dont take much to break. I have gorilla fisted a few on turbos

I just looked at our large resource for bolts and only one showed up. Allen head, 23mm long on the length with 18mm of thread. I'll check the availability tomorrow at work.

It is to fit a 3-jaw self-centering chuck that came with an MT1 spindle.  I need the chuck to hold parts centered so I can drill them, but not on a lathe.  So I need a bolt to fasten the chuck to a fixture.  Finding this fastener got more complicated than I had expected.

Since the actual application doesn't require a high strength fastener, I think a banjo bolt will do the trick.  But I'm still searching.

Op.......sounds like you have access to machinery. You can't take a bolt with enough body and thread it on a lathe?

Call the local Honda or Acura dealer and order a single OEM flywheel bolt.

Try Jegs or summit and look for a banjo plug bolt, stainless. Should give you some strength.

Nope.  No real machinery.  The chuck is to hold parts on the table of a bench top drill press so I don't need to find someone with a lathe to do the work for me.  Otherwise, I'd be all over making the fastener I need.  I considered getting an appropriately sized rod and threading it with a die, but that size isn't exactly common either...I'd need a lathe to make the rod fit the die.

Thus looking for something that's almost as rare as unicorns.

The bolt showed up today, and it works perfectly.

I'm attaching my small 3-jaw chuck on the table of my bench top drill press, to assist in center drilling parts.  Since the MT1 arbor for the chuck has an M12-1.0 thread, I needed this bolt (or something like it).  I used a 1/2" washer under the chuck, and one on the bottom of the table for the bolt, and the system works great.  I can fasten the chuck to the table with plenty of room to adjust it to be perfectly centered under the drill press' chuck.

I'll try to get some pictures soon.  And again, thanks to all who provided assistance and suggestions.
