With a budget ar15 what kind of accuracy should I expect from myself. I am limited to a 100 yard range. I have a Ruger ar556 with fixed troy iron sights. What kind of accuracy should I expect and train to attain. Not very experienced just wondering what some experienced marksmen get from their carbines with iron sights. Thanks

Iron sights, four inch groups @ 100yds w/LE6920. Half that with an aimpoint. I'm getting old and so are my eyes. Hyper accuracy is over-rated in a combat rifle as nobody can shoot to the intrinsic accuracy of ANY firearm under field and combat conditions.

Thanks. When shooting off hand at a 100 yards I shoot 8 inch groups. I would like to have a hold on the fundamentals before attending any classes. Been working on accuracy and reloads.Want to have a handle on the basics. Don't want to make a fool of myself.
