Other than googling, is anyone here active in IDPA in the Colorado Springs area? What are the best recurring matches? I haven't shot IDPA in about two years and my wife just displayed an interest in getting into pistol shooting, so I figure why not. Will be SSP and ESP class.

I'm up the road in castle rock area, just moved from the springs in December. Wife suggested I should try comp shooting here, so I've done some looking around. There's front range idpa, which has a match up west of Denver the second Saturday of the month, and down in the springs area the third sunday of the month, so feb 21 will be the next match down there. There's eastern Colorado IDPA, but that's a ways away from you. Here is a link to some clubs: http://www.idpa.com/compete/clubsearch?stateProvinceId=6&countryId=1&search=

Not sure what I'll try, SSP or CDP or what yet.

Anyone going to the FRIDPA on feb 21 In Colorado springs?

There's a much bigger USPSA presence in eastern CO than IDPA. Probably because it's way more fun.

If you haven't shot USPSA, you should give it shot. PPPS in Pueblo lets you shoot your first match free.

USPSA sounds interesting, but will need to do the training class first, before I can compete.

I think they offer it for free before the Pueblo match.
