Overall, this legislation will disproportionally affect the lower income/economic strata of NYS... specifically minority communities, raising the spectre of systemic racism.

Additionally, with the current focus on minority incarceration rates, did the legislators of this new law consider this impact?  It appears to me this would add several more felony counts to criminal use of a firearm, increasing years behind bars and incarcerations... etc.

This law is impulsive retaliation for the Bruen decision and not well thought out.

Make no mistake...they will only really prosecute white conservative gun owners with these new laws.

It’s not just retaliation for Bruen, but also the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

It only doesn't make sense to you because you believe the mistaken notion that the democraps actually care about minority communities.

They give zero fucks about minorities beyond pandering for their vote to take and stay in power.  More blacks, for example, getting their rights trampled on or prosecuted is nothing more than colleterial damage to them.
