I use to live on Long Island. I had a hunting and target license from Nassau county. I left 19 years ago. I lived under that terrible permit system. I use to call it the license that requires a lot of explaining.
For example:

Not valid in NYC

Only to and from range or hunting where legal

Can’t stop for milk on the way home from the range

If you go upstate from Long Island to hunt must stop at city line put in trunk pass through NYC then stop when out of the city put gun back on person

When upstate can’t leave gun in hotel room when not hunting but can’t carry because of restriction.

It was a nightmare. So glad I left. I wish you guys well. Congratulations.
