There also needs to be a legal letter written to the Rockland County Clerk. Their statement on the clerks website in part reads that they are "...awaiting direction from the State of New York on new protocols and procedures..". That does not comport nor comply with this ruling. Furthermore, the fact is that Rockland County issued the existing pistol permits under their own authority. It is also a fact the application requirements prior to this ruling were the same for a "sportsmen" permit or carry permit. The only difference was they would only give a carry permit to LEO's.

One “minor” correction.  What SCOTUS rule to be unconstitutional on Wednesday was also unconstitutional on Tuesday, and in fact from day one.

I'll predict that Once some Cop, Judge, county clerk, etc.. actually gets hit with a $$ judgement for violating someone's constitutional right, the concealed carry permits will be flying out the door!

Mass noncompliance with all these laws in light of NYSRPA is the only way. We all know these laws are not in line with text history and tradition.

From what is being released it seems that the governor and legislature will directly ignore SCOTUS today. They will be imposing a de facto ban on carry in all public places. They will also be putting onerous requirements such as 15 hours of live fire training for all carry permits.

Both of those were directly addressed in the ruling as unconstitutional. No shall issue state has any of those requirements.

We need a ton of “you’re on notice, no immunity” letters sent to all NYS LE agencies concerning this, which is blatantly in violation of Bruen.

I am not sure what letters to counties are going to do with the Governor of state is essentially saying we aren't going to follow the ruling.

Nolo sued the governor and won once before and that before the Supreme Court was involved.  

No doubt there will have to be more lawsuits.

The sad part of this is, even though permits will be unrestricted, anywhere you would want to carry will be a class E felony once the next joke of a law passes the D super majority.

...To that end, Hochul on Friday signed sweeping gun legislation into law that adds several layers of red tape for those who wish to obtain a gun in the state - including a new rule requiring anyone applying for a concealed carry permit to submit a three-year history of their current and inactive social media accounts. The new law will take effect on September 1, 2022.

Applicants for concealed carry permits must also undergo 16 hours of firearm training, provide four character references, and list the contact information for domestic partners or adults who reside in the same house.

Potential applicants will also be required to show "good moral character," meaning "the essential character, temperament and judgment necessary to be entrusted with a weapon and to use it only in a manner that does not endanger oneself and others."

At a press conference regarding the new legislation, Hochul said "we are creating a definitive list of sensitive locations where individuals will not be able to carry firearms."

This list includes "schools, summer camps, libraries, daycares, parks and playgrounds, places children gather, theaters, museums, entertainment venues, places of worship for religious observation, polling places, educational institutions, and health medical facilities. Federal State Local government buildings, homeless and domestic violence shelters, places where alcohol is consumed, restaurants, bars, public transportation, subway buses, airports and at public demonstrations and rallies, and in Times Square."

Another new rule is a "Default of No Concealed Carry on Private Property and Businesses Unless Deemed Permissible by Property Owners." Hochul said of this law, "We are making 'no open carry' the default position for private businesses. That means that any business, grocery store, retail, private home, place that wants to allow guns on their premises will have to demonstrate that and establish that they put a sign out there that says concealed carry guns are welcome here."...

I've believed that as dirty as he was, there was no way that Cuomo picked her as a running mate without knowing that she has skeletons in her closet that he could hold over her.
Now its up to us to find those skeletons.

They must be buried pretty well because her recent primary challengers had nothing. I am sure their teams were working diligently to uncover things.

Or he selected her because she was a non-threatening incompetent with no problematic background.

Prevent them from claiming Qualified Immunity for not immediately knowing that a SCOTUS ruling prohibits their conduct.

She was one of my town of Hamburg board members, and then Erie County Clerk. Never heard anything untoward about her back then. I'm actually surprised how she's now gone against the Supreme Court ruling. But all of the Dems have become unmanageable the past decade.
