I said I'd never set foot in NY unless we got nationwide carry but that never happened and I am going. Are there any regulations to be aware of in regards to carrying knives concealed in the city? I'd at least like to have a credit card knife on me when touring the city. I may even keep with the WuTang vibe and ship a boxcutter to myself to carry... careful
 Any help appreciated.

Somebody else will chime in on this, I am not 100% sure, but the clip of a knife is not allowed to be seen!

Just as with any other part of the country, "concealed means concealed". NYC's interpretation of NYS knife laws is dicey. Manhattan DA Vance loves to go after knives as well as guns.

Blade under 4 inches (fixed or folder)
Cannot "wrist flick" open No balisong or similar Must be completely concealed, not even clip visible. No auto's That's pretty much it. I carry a kershaw ken onion something or other, that has a spring assist, and clipped appendix carry. Only time I ever had an issue was at Empire State Building, wanted to go up to the observatory, they had magnetometers. I stashed it somewhere in a planter, and went back after. |
