Any particular reason you'd want a long mag? Not great for prone position shooting.

And I would think you would be asking for someone to check on your magazine to make sure it is what it isn't.

Inviting the man into your life IMO.

Longer mags are helpful if you have plate carriers/pouches for longer mags, it helps.

10/30 seems to mean it is readily converted to standard capacity... right?

Not quite, the listing states "Aluminum rivet permanently secures the lock plate".

Interesting that Magpul themselves have gotten into making 10/30s. Didn't think the market was that big.

Nope. Rivets or epoxy filled makes it permanent.

Not like it's hard to 3d print a mag these days. Laws are stupid.

That's not true at all. Other companies were making 10/30s with PMAGs. This is Magpul's first time doing 10/30s

I've heard  good things  about the Esstac  shortys,   Was  looking at them  but  got other stuff  for the  shotgun instead.   SKD  has them  if you can find them in stock.

But, for keeping within the bullshit laws... linking two 10rd pmags with a base plate coupler yields a mag about the same size as a 30.

The main reason I bought a couple was to play around with magazine monopod prone.
