So is a 80% lower for an ar15 at this time illegal in NYS? I found an article today that claims that "ghost guns" are illegal in NYS but I hadn't seen any laws that were passed. Now I understand that if you have an ar15 "GG" and are a prohibited person you are in trouble and if you have a "GG" pistol and you are prohibited/not on your pistol permit you are in trouble.

What is the current state of 80% ar lowers if you are not a prohibited person in NYS?

Edit: a 80% AR that is not safe compliant

No.

Unless that article was Article 265 of the Penal Law, ignore it.
