Are Judges, Law Enforcement and other favored government employees exempt from any of New York and New York City's gun control laws?    If so, where in NY's Official Code I can find the exemption language.

Here in Georgia, a vast list of government employees are exempt from our Carry Laws including judges and prosecutors (OCGA 16-11-130).

(d)  have  and  carry  concealed  by  a  justice  of  the  supreme court in the first or second  judicial departments, or by a judge of the New York city civil court  or
 the  New York city criminal court


FYI- First and Second Department is New York City and surrounding counties, which is exactly where CCW are not given out as a rule.

Also, Supreme Court is New York's lowest court, every county has one supreme court with numerous supreme court justices. There are hundreds of supreme court justices statewide. The top court is the Court of Appeals.

pretty much if you are sworn le or peace officer with arrest powers you are exempt from a whole lot of nys gun laws. we will start with magazine capacity( peon=10rds le= no limits), suppressors(peon=no chance buddy/ le= how many tax stamps can you afford?) sbr's, sbs's, even pre 86 machine guns  can be owned, just need to inform the local sheriff. yet another way that ny makes sure that people on both the right and the left distrust le.
