The Chinese People are largely unarmed, and their Leaders need US to be, this will make the assimilation, re-education, and population reduction so much easier.
Now you watch, the first thing they're going to get through is the Licensing and de facto registration; going to need this for confiscation; those that surrender can be re-educated, and those who do not "comply" will be killed by the Authorities trying to defend themselves during the confiscation.

The Russian People were arguably the most heavily armed (in Public no less) People in the World until the Students decided Communism was the way to go and in the end, the last hold outs were offered 'Peace' so long as they surrendered their Arms, which they did and were taken out back and executed.  Gentlemen, History has reincarnated itself every hundred years, yet few seem to know and even fewer take its lessons to heart... My remaining time isn't as important as that time allotted our Children and grandchildren.

We have one big advantage over the people of those times: history books to read to show the exact roadmap as to what will happen. Other than the British attempt to disarm the colonists in 1774, leading to Lexington and Concord, there wasn't much to reference other than middle-ages British disarmament pogrom's for example. But the early and mid 20th century brought us plenty of examples as to what happens to a people when the government disarms them as a precursor to major structural changes to society. Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Castro, Pol Pot, etc. We have the advantage of being able to look back and know if we choose to pay attention. Unlike those back in Russia, China and Germany for whom it was something totally new and who believed the wonderful promises made to them.
