There is a meeting scheduled for Wednesday the 17th @ 2:00pm at the Brookhaven Town Hall to discuss closing the Suffolk Co. Trap & Skeet Range in Yaphank on the grounds that lead from used ammunition has seeped into the groundwater.

We all know the goal is to shut down another facility where guns are used.
Resource Conservation and Recovery Act is what they will try to pull however it failed in 92 in Yosemite. (some google searches)
