I cannot believe that game last night.
 G-Mac has to be the all time greatest player at SU. I heard he'll be out tonight with a groin pull.  Win - 6-7 seed Loss - 8-9 seed Let's Go Syracuse!!!

If this is true, SU is screwed. I'm not a huge sports fan, but G MAC has been a huge player for SU. I'll miss him when he graduates. |

He's been playing with a groin pull for the last 2 weeks. He will be playing tonight. We made it to The March 5th Senior day game at home. The entire game was interlaced with emotion and then finale really was a tearjerker. It was tough to have to convince myself that #3 would never again play basketball on Jim Boeheim court for Syracuse University. Gerry McNammara embodies everything that used to be great about Collegiate sports at Syracuse and sports in general. He is a stand up kid, from a middle class family in a working class town who plays hard nose basketball and leaves everything he has on the court. The last 3 days have been nothing short of magical and i only hope that we can continue this ride by defeating Pitt tonight. Weve got some NY Strip Steaks, Some fresh Italian bread and a boat load of beers. Life is indeed good. I hope you all enjoy the game as much as we do  Cuse! Cuse! Cuse! |

All three games were un-fucking-believable. I didn't get any work done on Thursday!
[sarcasm]G-Mac is waaaayy overrated![/sarcasm] I heard that last night at halftime against Georgetown, Boeheim told the team in the locker room that he talked to the NCAA tourney selection committee, and they said SU would have to play a great game to get into the tourney, if they didn't they wouldn't make it. Of course SU is already in, but it Jimmy B gave them a little extra motivation. White lies are good! GO 'CUSE! |

My mom is an executive at Syracuse University and she tells me G-Mac is hands down one of the nicest people she has met in 25 years at the University. In that time she was the bursar who oversaw all student athlete scholarship players. We used to have players over to the house every week for dinner, back when you could do that. I grew up in a household where SU sports was king. I was lucky enough to be a ball boy for SU football. Never had a chance to know Boeheim, but Mac always made sure I had used team jersies, practice balls and tickets for my friends and I up to college when he left to coach New England. This really could be a cinderella story in the making.
