I'm in the Marines and I was showing my buddy pictures of my AR the other day, and he instantly wanted one. I was wondering if there was a link to the laws in NJ concerning ARs.

Thanks

NJ Gun Laws

It's possible but it has to be in post ban configuration.  Mag capacity is limited to 15 rounds(mags have to be permanantly blocked) and prebans are not grand fathered in NJ.  Tell your friend to put that money towards moving to a free state.

thanks for the link. I am assuming that post ban configuration means that it conforms with all the requirements set forth by the National AW ban of 1994.

Correct.  Basically no folding/telestocks, bayo lugs and threaded barrels/flashiders. Bushmaster, RRA and others will make a ban compliant model for you.
