To live in the city limits, can you own shotguns and lever actions, or should I ask do they have to be registered?

All long arms have to be registered in the city.
There are regs about mag capacity, at least for shotguns.
Change your title to 'shotguns and lever actions in NYC' and you should get more responses
that will be useful.
