Those of us who live in the western NY do not expect any snow from this storm  o you inthe path,  suck it up man!!!!!!!!!!

Those of us who live in lake effect areas have had a tough go of it this past week.  Some areas getting over two feet in 24 hours.

Well, I just got the snow blower ready. Changed the oil. Topped of the tank. Filled the emergency gas can.

So, it's definately NOT going to snow.

Snow flakes are getting huge here. (Woodbury NJ, acrosss Delaware River from Philly)
Temp is dropping, still just above freezing.
Collecting on grass and cars only so far.
Weather channel says 8-13 inches total accumulation for the weekend.
And headed your way New Yorkers!

Stay warm!

I am deciding if I should call out for work 10pm-6am.  Getting there will be no problem but I do not want to have to battle getting back home.  Also Mom is disabled and on oxygen, if the power goes out then her concentrator is off and has to go on her emergency tank.  I know if I call out all I am going to get is attitude.  I am close to telling them to FO anyways.

It's a really wet snowfall out there. I just cleared almost 2 inches worth off my car and it's just starting to stick to the pavement. If this rate keeps up all night like they say it will, we're gonna have a shitload on the ground in the morning here in Gloucester county.

That's what I thought also and did the same...Guess it didn't work this time. At 10PM went and cleaned the car off for the wife to go to work. Did mine also and I just looked out the window. It has double the amount it had only 2-1/2 hrs ago..

Guess the Virgin Snow Blower will get it's cherry popped tomorrow....

I wonder if the IDPA match at Freeport will be called off in the Morn..

Tuckerton 12:30am. Rain and wind. Seems too wet for any snow to stick.

Rochester, 1:30am, not a flake in the sky, still 8-10" on the ground from last week.

Looks like a steady 1-3 inches per hour now. The flakes just got bigger about an hour ago and it's coming down good.

We are going to get the worst of it here on LI.  I am on the North Shore and they are saying 15"+ easy.  Accuweather (which is pretty good) said the same thing DefMan upto 4" an hour till about 2pm.  I had to go out and clear my back door for my Lab and it is nasty out.  I am not going to break the snow blower out till later this afternoon.  Then take the kids sleigh ridding.

Yep about 15-18" has of now...Very fluffy so it will be easy to get rid of.

I go to get ready for a IDPA match and until I stepped out I didn't realize how much snow there was. It just started snowing heavy again.

The guy down the block plowed both sides of the sidewalks. Guess he was up all night waiting to try his new toy out...I think if all of us got together with our Snow plows we could clear the whole street.

I did some shoveling around 10, it did no good, the wind just filled it back up.

On the plus side, my dog loves the freakin snow, he gets retarded in it, lol.

You guy kill me
What you're getting/got is pretty routine "up here".
Hell, the snow blower we use at work has a pair of 3306CAT engines: one for the mover and the other runs the blower.

I was one of those guys out plowing for NJ-DOT last night. Only had 37,000 lbs of truck under me. You'd be surprised how stupid people are. They still think they can do 65 on snow and ice. I love their thought (or lack of it) process....'I have 4 wheel drive, I can do anything!!'. As I watch their arse slide sideways down 95/295.

be well and drive safe.

One more thing JFK had in common with Slick Willy:

JFK's brains landed on Jackie's dress
Bill's brains quirted onto Monica's dress

Well... I got to plow snow for about 36 hours. probably would have been more, but I got sick and stayed home today. Got 26 hours OT out of it.. which is too much. They're gonna eat a bunch of it in taxes now. Snow used to mean guns for me. I loved it when it snowed after hours. This snow will got towards taxes and bills.
