The next AG in NJ will be Zulima Farber. Her goal is, in part, to resume the fight against the "proliferation of firearms." (Star Ledger 1/12/06 Page 15) This being Jersey and Corzine being Corzine can only mean that the target will be US.

As the state public advocate in the early 1990s, Zulima Farber fought against mandatory criminal sentences, the proliferation of firearms and mistreatment of legal and illegal immigrants.

Farber said yesterday she expects to resume those fights as the state's next attorney general.

"Those are issues that I have cared about for my entire professional life," Farber said. "I plan to continue those."

Is it not supposed to be "leadership by example" when someone takes a position of power?
It is nteresting but believable that someone who continually breaks the law will be the top law enforcer of NJ.

Here is what I found out so far:

Farber got a speeding ticket in North Bergen and didn’t appear in court or pay the fine. A bench warrant was issued for her arrest. According to Farber she didn’t realize there was a problem until she got word that her license was suspended.

According to a spokesperson for the New Jersey Division of Motor Vehicles, Farber's license was also suspended in January for failing to appear in court on charges of being an unsafe driver. Upon paying both the ticket and a restoration fee, her license was restored on March 7.

Farber has displayed "a long pattern of disregard for her legal obligations and a disregard for the courts," as evidenced by three suspensions and the bench warrant over the past 25 years.
She also had accumulated 12 speeding tickets during that period.

This is just one of the reason why i am leaving the state.  By the end of the year i will be out.  I don't care that i am going to half to take a pay cut!

While I share your hope please give me an example of a gun law rollback?
The expiration of the AWB was not a rollback it took no action for it to expire.
In the last 20 years or so we only lose on gun laws. A good year is when no new laws are enacted.

Out of curiousity,where is the nra in all of this?or any other firearm related fight in this state.they always seem to call me every 1 or 2 months for a donation.But then again this is the same state where i need the same permit to buy a Red Ryder bb gun as i did for my Bushyhinking.gif
