What the hell is this! Saw this over at NJCSD

San Francisco, NRA reach agreement on handgun ban

Now, I am no lawyer and barely understand any of the legal mojo anyway, but this sound like BS. Why the hell is the NRA NOT going for the TRO. At least that stops anything from happening till everything is decided in the courts. The ONLY reason I can think of is that the NRA knew it had no chance of getting the TRO. All they gain is stores being able to stay open a little while longer. I don’t know, seems like horseshiz to me.

What is really suprising is that 42% of the voters said no in the most liberal city in the US.

From the NRA-ILA website:

NRA Lawsuit Delays Ban

San Francisco will delay enforcement of its ban on gun and ammunition sales until March 1 while a judge considers a National Rifle Association lawsuit challenging the measure. NRA plans to file suit in Superior Court December 29, arguing that the new city ordinance conflicts with state law.

"Why the hell is the NRA NOT going for the TRO"

They got the equivalent of a TRO at no cost to the NRA and this will speed-up the litigation for a faster resolution.
