Anyone know the rules of checking in ammo on a plane?
any experiences???

You cannot take it with you on your carry on luggage (unless you're an FBI/Secret Service Agent, etc).  As far as checking it in your luggage, I'm not sure.  I'd venture to say it's probably frowned upon because it's a "hazardous material" and I don't think they want them in the cargo hold...Better to ship it...

I called up United...
And yes up to 11lbs of ammo in checked luggage.
