Thought you would like to know.

Remington UMC for $4.98 a box of 50.

Actually that's a really good price.  That's $99.60 for 1000 rounds (105.57 with tax).  Cheapest I can find it online is around $156, not including shipping.  Wolf is a tad cheaper, but really I think UMC is better anyway (duh), so for the extra 4 dollars no problem .

I think I may go pick some up...

I'm gonna go down today and see if they'll give an extra quantity discount for 20 boxes.  I'll report back later on this.

They listed a 2 box limit, but I was able to buy 10 and a guy in front of me bought 20.   They didn't give me the case discount though

Woot, got 20 boxes for $99.60 plus tax.  Unfortunately they wouldn't give me an extra discount because of sale prices.  They said normally they would give a % discount for quantity, though.

So I walked up to the ammo counter and said I wanted to buy some 9mm that was on sale.  He said ok, so I said I'd like to buy 20 boxes.  He looked at me and said the flyer says a limit of 2 (with a smile), so I looked at him and said that I'd like to buy 20 boxes (also with a smile).  He called the manager over, and the manager said if they had plenty of stock that it's just fine.  There was plenty of stock so I got my 20 boxes.  Not a bad deal at all.

Wish I saw that before I went out there today.

Just got back and they said they never had ammo on sale last week.

Then again I spoke to some retard sales man who didn't know what a rifle barrel shot gun was or the difference between 12 and 20 guage shells.

I bought 6 boxes yesterday at the Dicks in Fairmount (Syracuse area). Fortunately for me i didnt get a bozo counter rep. I knew he was a good shit when we started talking about the upcoming gun syracuse fun show this weekend. I told him that i was looking to pick up a couple hundred rounds of 7.62 mil-surp. Thats when he told me that he would be bringing a radio flyer with him because he planeed on picking up a few thousand each of mil-surp 8mm, 7.62 and 9mm

Never heard of a 9mm rifle then, huh?  I guess my Beretta Storm doesn't exist?  In NJ you need to show your FID card to buy ammo, but in PA you don't.  Then they write down what you bought and how many

Nope, don't even need a FID to buy pistol ammunition in NJ, just a driver's license.  They do record the purchase in a ledger as you mentioned, but the FID requirement isn't a legal measure.

Really, Dick's won't sell ammo without it, and nor will Harry's, AFAIK.  In fact, AIM wouldn't sell me ammo unless I faxed them a copy of my FID?

Edit: Learn something new every day, huh?

OK, so I take a drive to DICK'S in East Hanover. Go to the counter, ask if I can get some sale 9mm. Guy says sure - I got plenty, how many? Ah 30 boxes? Sure let me see - Flavius, 3 cases please. Oh, only two cases, ok. DL or FID, sure.

So I go to the counter and there is a MILF (sorry NO PIX) with her 2 rug rats - I wait and wait. Checking out the gum, her rack, the gum her rack. Hmmm MILF is telling her kids where I they are going for lunch - uh never mind. So I get called next. Guy rings/scans the 1000 rds., says total, $39.44 So I whip out a $50.00 and gives me change.

That's right, $.04/9mm - happy happy camper! - I would have preferred winning the $250MM lotto, but this plus the rocket rise from the eye candy will just have to do. Farking A!!!

An I can prove it - I gotz the receipt.

Holy Sheep Shit - I just checked the receipt. My change was $39.44, MY TOTAL WAS, $10.56!!! I paid $.01056/9MM

Talk about fucking LOTTO - !!!! Still I'll take it all back in trade for the $250MM Lotto!!!

Peqa1

just got the flyer in Long Islands Saturday Newsday.

So it wasn't was  till the end of last weekend I take it.

I wish I had the flyer so I could go and shove it uo the ASS of that guy.

I just came back from PA and I stopped at a Wal Mart off of 180 I think it is exit 208. I stop for Arby on my way. They had 9mm value packs for $9.00 and 45cal for $12.70. I never found it that cheep at a Wal Mart before.
I bought 1000 rounds of 9mm and 500 of 45. Best part there is someone at the counter. They knew what things were for and no ID required. NYC and LI Sucks.

I really want to go and dispute with the Dickies Manager over not selling me ammo. He had a Shit Load of the stuff on the wall.

Nice score. I'm sure someone at that store is going to get ripped a new A-hole for that f-up. Good you paid cash, really tough to track you down.

I really think the "young man" cashier thought these two seal boxes of 10 50 round boxes were 4.99 each. I'm not feeling too good about it most recently. It was a deal at $100.00 so dollars, this feels like, like - BAD JuJu.

I picked up 10 boxes yesterday, but was charged 5.98, not 4.98 as you guys said.  I also checked the sale flyer sitting there which also claimed it sale for 5.98.  Still a good deal I thought.

BTW, they never asked me for my pistol permit, or any other info.

The 4.98 deal was last week, this week's deal is a dollar more.
