Yeah, they were going to have a 3 day weekend concert event in Trenton to help save it. Apparently CBGB owes back rent.

The event was called Hellfest, but the day before it was supposed to start, it got canceled. Don't know why for sure.

This backrent sounds like some landlord scam.  



That's the way it's being portrayed anyway. I read that the rent was raised without the landlord actually telling the club's owners that they raised it Seems they snuck it into the new lease somewhere

CBGB's was a cool place to play at or hang out, it's a NYC rock icon and I certainly hope they survive this ordeal. The kids need a place to play.
