Unlike the rest of the country we are blessed with some kick-ass pizza joints, what's you choice for that awesome pizza fix?
I vote for: Spassos Pizzeria 1159 Wantagh Ave Wantagh, NY 11793 516-785-8560 |

For thin crust Coal oven Pizza the best you will ever taste is
Totonno Pizzeria Napolitano 1524 Neptune Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11224 For an excellent standard Pizza New Park is hard to beat New Park Pizzeria 15671 Crossbay Boulevard Howard Beach, NY 11414 |
Its not my area, but its where I like to go.
Patsys in Manhattan, 118th and 1st ave. (Coal Oven- super thin) I'm sure most of you know about this place, its awesome. By my in the Bronx I usually goto Patricias Pizza&Pasta on E. Tremont Ave. Wood Oven (fresh mozzarella and basil) I'd post the phone #'s but im too lazy to look haha. |
Do they have another location in the Village? |
I use to make a pretty good pizza but sadly I don't eat pizza anymore. There are some good pizza joints on this list.

My house.
Actually the best pizza in my area is at Cosimo's in Wallkill. Nice thin brick oven pizza. I still like mine better though. |
Come on Wave, you know you need fresh Catskills water flowing through 100+ year old
viaducts into NYC to make good pizza! Name your favorite places in the city. I don't remember the name but, St. Marks Plc. [8th. St.] & Ave. A. |
Rosas Pizza in Maspeth Queens. I grew up on that stuff. Its the best.

Pizza places are like Starbucks around here, I must have at least 10 within effective range.
For pizza, it would be any place near me in the Elmont area for for others like heros I would choose Vincents in Albertson and for seafood, Vincents Clam Bar in Westbury.
I went to De Marco's today, and I wasn't overly impressed. Not bad, but it wasn't what I would consider one of the ten best. Hot Russian waitress, though. That made up for it. |
My two favorite:
Hauppauge, NY: Branchinelli's on RT111 Central Islip, NY: Central Pizza on Carlton Ave. Good Stuff ETA: It's about the only thing I'll miss when I move to Colorado |
GMTA fixxxer.....those were my two picks also. ETA: for a quick fix at lunchtime: Brooklyn (Bensonhurst) - Spumoni Gardens Bronx (Wakefield) - Paesano's White Plains Rd. @ 241st St. |

Good Gawd that one brings back memories, going to college in Ithaca. Many a night up in Collegetown stumbling into that place. In Buffalo, its usually La Nova or the Boccia Club for 'za |

Around the Buffalo area I'd have to say: John's Pizza & Subs
4241 Delaware Avenue Tonawanda, NY 14150 (716) 693-2077 a close 2nd is: Pizza Junction 1269 Erie Ave. North Tonawanda, NY (716) 692-6366 |

I would list the Chariot as well, but it just closed last month after 30 or so years. |
