I voted 1st thing this morning. At the polls, one of the guys who had voted appeared to be mentally retarded or handicapped or something and the other guy there didn't seem much better. The poll ladies asked him, "Did you vote yet?" and he gave them a blank stare. Finally one of the other ladies said, "Oh yeah, he voted already I remember him voting."
Then there was me and 1 other guy who seemed to be about average intelligence. So it seems in my district about 50% of voters lack the mental capacity to carry on a conversation or answer a simple question.
It was sort of funny. When they asked the guy if he voted yet and he didn't/couldn't answer, I said, "Ah, who cares, just let him vote again!" It took a couple seconds but this provoked horrified responses from the poll ladies and they explained to me how diificult it would be to vote more than once.
Frankly, I don't know why I vote anymore--no matter who wins we're screwed. I guess it just gives me something to do that I only get to do every 2 years so I vote for novelty value alone.
