Ok guys, I need some help here. Myself and two others were ripped off to a tune of about $2600.00 for some TA31 ACOGS we thought we were buying on Ebay. The guy took the money and sent cheap Airsoft copies of TA11's and had them drop shipped direct form Airsoft.

If anyone knows this guy or is in the area and in law enforcement, your help would surely be appreciated. I have all of the guys particulars. Here they are:

Casim H Joyner
107-11 154th St.
Jamaica, NY
Gotham718 (Ebay name)
[email protected]

I have his phone number also but his wife just says he isn't there and says she does not know anything about any scopes.

I am posting this in the New York Hometown section also. PLEASE HELP!!!

That's probably THE shittiest section of NY real estate there is, RIGHT BY the van wyck.
103rd Precinct of NYPD
If you have all that info, probably shouldn't be hard to apprehend this guy... link to the ad?

Try here

You sure you read the auction all the way through? Not trying to be a smart-ass, but sometimes scumbags on those auction sites make pretty misleading ads that have some obscure small print in them. Good luck.

Dude, I can't believe that you even bid on that auction.  That guy had "0" feedback, and was not a registered user.  He even copied the information from the Trijicon ads, and said nothing about the actual item he was selling.

When I bid on the auction he was a +2 and WAS a registered user.  He has since become a 0 and got suspended due to my and the other victims complaints.  Live and learn, this is a first and will definitely be a last!

munyguru, If you dig a little deeper you can see that the seller had one + feedback for a "private" auction (most likely porno or illegal software). The other + is suspect as he was compalining that the seller did not send him a boot disk. His negative feedback was removed "Feedback withdrawn because member did not respond to formal mediation request. "

So basically, when you bid the seller reputation was that he had paid for his porno and had his negative feedback removed because he failed to follow through. Not exactly what I would call a stellar reputation.

Let's not blame the victim here -

File an immediate police complaint.  No doubt this guy meant to rip you off.  There is no hope of a voluntary refund.

im sure this guy got a bright idea from some conversation he had with some other a$$hole at a bar or somethin .. and assumed that the buyers of these products would NOT know the difference ... he was preying on ignorance ... well .. he lost ..

Sorry, i dont want to sound like i'm on that a*holes side. But nowhere on his auction did it say you were bidding on an actual ACOG, only that he described what it was. A (0) feedback and not a registered user ?????  Would never drop $2600 to an unknown seller like that. Use guys that are power sellers, that have hundreds/ thousands of auctions with no bad feedback.
Hey it happens to everbody....live and learn. But that address is in a real crappy section of queens, lock and load buddy. Get in touch with Ebay and file with fraud dept, maybe they can help with refunding money. Good luck with it.

I had numerous communications with him prior to my bid asking exactly what it was and what was included and even had him describe the unit with serial numbers.  I think he might of had one and figured he would make multiple sales off of it.

As I pointed out before, the guy was a registered user and had a +2 (big deal!) before the complaints filed by myself and the others.  I am out $875.00 but he took the 3 of us for a total of $2600.00.

I would of never made this deal had I not had good communication with him including phone number.  Obviously that did not matter either.  Live and learn the hard way I guess.  Luckily, if all else fails, I will file a chargeback on my credit card (another thing I always safegaurd myself with when something is unsure).

I am still hoping he lives up to his last email and provides a refund but will not be holding my breath!

Make that a third.
Personally, if I buy anything better than some bullshit item that's worth nothing and more importaintly, that I could care less when it comes in (if ever), I'll think about buying from an unrated seller. Otherwise, keep the standard of atleast SOME rating (over ten is usually fine, much higher of course if it's for a high-dollar item. No buy-only, five good ratings, on cheap items, type stuff when you buy expensive shit either).
