Looks like some cooler heads prevented that from going sideways.
"Armed, masked men" I have to ask, were any of the protesters armed, or are they just pointing out racist white men from the tweet? |

Quoted: 2020 was definitely not organic and well funded from somewhere. Someone has to pay for all those plane and bus tickets. Remember the video in Louisville of riot shields and other weapons getting unloaded from a uhaul truck? Now that biden is in office they want to forget 2020 ever happened. Good that someone showed up to let those "protesters" know they won't be able to just burn things down without any resistance. Did APD make any arrests of those who blocked the intersection? View Quote It does seem quite the anti-climax to it all. Months of hollering about it, then all no-bills from the Grand Jury. And the response - a few folks holding up signs and blocking a lane or two or traffic. Hardly the city wide shut downs as last summer. I think the riots achieved their purpose - firing up the black and super-leftist white vote (though diminishing Hispanic votes who want nothing to do with the Burn Loot Movement), shaking down companies into funding left wing groups, and being part of a "Trump is chaos" idea. Now that Depends is soiling himself behind the Resolute desk, the new image needs to be one of things are back to normal, so rioting in Dallas over some sckizo dope head who died in jail isn't part of that plan. No rioting infrastructure equals what we've seen - a few signs, a few groups, and that's all. |

Quoted: was he squaring up with those guys or shaking hand .....hard to tell from the camera angle? View Quote I thought he was "dapping" them at first but the guy in the white shirt kinda acts like he to told him to cool it and they walked off. That was an interesting choice of a protest spot. The protest started in the city of Fairview. While growing, it is a relatively small town with not that big of a police department. When they crossed that intersection they were in Allen. From what I know of Allen, they are a high-speed, low-drag bunch who doesn't put up with a lot of BS. The fact that there were armed counter-protesters there may have dampened the BLM types from getting froggy. Want to bet there may be some NFAC types at the next one if there is another? |

Still looking for any info on an armed gathering in Fort Worth on July 3. The event was referred to as the Fort Worth Formation. However, I can't find anything, and it has disappeared from the Elmer Pratt Gun Club event list.

Here ya go, fresh slander. When the men showed up, clad in military-like outfits and carrying firearms, they insisted they were there to protect the city from property damage. Never mind that no property damage had occurred during last Saturday’s Black Lives Matter rally in Allen. View Quote |

So WTF happened last night?
I stayed at work last night on firewatch because all of the surrounding idiots were shooting fireworks (in the city). Most around me had blown their wad by 10pm, but then next door around midnight, they light off a few "something" that rattled the windows on the house. Then around 20 minutes later, they'd do a 5 to 6 round burst with cadence, wasn't 9mm, sounded more like 454 or 50 out a Ruger Alaskan. They let off two bursts and then they were done. That's why I figured it was a revolver, either their hands were too sore to keep shooting or they couldn't afford more ammo. It was finally quiet for us after that. The rest of Dallas still sounded like a civil war battle field off in the distance. But then there's this local guy who does Smash Da Topic who runs around taking FB video of whatever he can find, he posted this: Attached File How many were shot last night? |

New twitter post on Elm fork john brown gun club.....

Just a reminder that today (July 7th) is the 5th anniversary of the Ambush Attack that left Five Dallas Police Officers dead. A so called "Black Activist" shot the very Police Officers who were protecting a "Black Lives Matter" march ...
RIP Officers! |

And I guess that's the end of the whole sad Marvin Scott case. If nothing has happened yet, nothing will.
It needed two things - some good video, as if it's not on video it's as if it never happened. And it needed to be last year, not in 2021 when Slow Joe is out eating ice cream (two scoops he wants, such an inspiration to us all), and things are back to being good. Riots don't help that image out. Poor Marvin Scott and his family / hangers on. For want of a crappy cell phone video and the year, the 20 million dollar payout was lost. |

It's concert and music reviews, not so much. It was fun back in the 70s and early 80s for its personal and want ads but they cleaned all of that up years ago. It's still fun to troll them on FB. |

Marvin Scott III is getting some international muckraker press: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9775025/Distressing-security-footage-shows-Marvin-Scotts-custody-death.html
Here's the damning picture according to the critics, if you don't want to see the video. Pepper spraying and some kind of mask or head restraint. Most of the video is them working on him after his cardiac event or whatever the hell happened. Certainly wasn't ignored when he died. Attached File Nice try by the CoCoDA to release it late on Friday, though. |

Meanwhile, CPAC is going on in Dallas but little press other than some national sites making fun of certain videos. Very little local buzz that I can see.

Different DPS helo N405TX up tonight, toured around Dallas and CoCo.
https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/n405tx Took one circuit around the Toyota stadium in Frisco, but that was just sightseeing. Something going on though, they have been circling the northwest corner of Forest Lane and Plano Road for the last 25 mins. DPD Helo was up tonight too. |
|
I really should have turned on the scanner to see if anything was up... DPD Helo finally went back to base at 12:05am, it had been out roughly 2 hours, 1.25 of it spent circling that one area. I am heading to bed but will try to check in the morning to see if it was just refueling.
DPD Helo was also busy with stops at a number of southern locations, still going on now: Attached File |

It was all one flight plan so you could see it jump forward approximately 1 hours that it took to refuel. Then went and circled over the southeast corner of Loop 12 and Scyene for 15 minutes before calling it a night. Attached File Can't tell if they were spelling the DPD Helo, as neither of the DPD birds have a playback available for last night. They always show up as just B06, but then it doesn't get transferred to the real records. |

Speaking of helicopters, just saw a flight of 3 Blackhawks heading west along I-30 out here on the east side of the county. I see Chinooks a lot, but Blackhawks are a rare sight.

@mPisi any intel about this weekend in the Addison area? I'm thinking about the influx of arfcommers into the area Saturday evening.

The bird in Howe and in Denison at TMC are same aircraft. Just has fuel/hangar at the place in Howe.
Two birds at McKinney airport. One each in Paris, Denton,& Gainesville. None in Durant. There’s a medical flight company at the Denton airport that does maintenance and training and I’ve seen their birds flying in the area for training. |
