NGAN = Next Generation Action Network. According to their website, they're been around since 2014.

I guess the restaurant staff does nothing while these takeovers happen? If the management lets it happen, let their patronage die away and let then close their doors. The protesters don't have the right to enter a private enterprise and disrupt business. But if the business allows it, then they are just as much to blame.

Another thing going on downtown was the Convention Center housing "migrant youths". Anyone have any updates on that?
The last new article I can find is from March 29 when Cruz visited. It was said to be almost at capacity of 2,300. It also had this interesting quote which I haven't heard about: Cruz also addressed the weekend security mishap where four migrant teens escaped the convention center and were caught by law enforcement a few blocks away. He says there was a heavy law enforcement presence at the holding center on Monday. "Four young boys escaped from this facility. They scaled a chain-link fence and climbed down," Cruz said. "Apparently, it was described to me about 70 feet. They climbed down across the freeway and across the train tracks. That is obviously a dangerous situation." |

Saturday 4/24. looking for volunteers to move homeless encampment from 2350 Walnut Hill Lane to a new location. I suspect it's actually the north side of Walnut Hill Lane, just west of IH 35E. Apparently this is called "Camp Goodnight". Owner and police tried to clear it this week but after alot of fussin', the deadline was extended to Sunday. Perhaps then it will be "Camp, good night".

The people that drive to the "rallies" tend to park in the horseshoe. The blood stains on the north side of the building have been there since Tuesday night, kinda surprised the haven't been powerwashed off. ETA: DPD seems to be having "drills" a couple of times a day. Normally 8 to 15 cars that drive up all at once and deploy around City Hall....sit for 2-3 minutes and then all of them depart. mm |

Parked in the driveway is a red Camaro that never moves. Stored just behind it is a sailboat in disrepair. Just behind the sailboat is a detached two car garage that has been converted into a violence training facility. In the early evening you can hear weights clanking and a heavy bag being punched. The back wall is decorated with a full-size Patriot Front flag as a reminder that members are actually training for a future wharf to hand combat(???). Much to the dismay of nearby neighbors, Patriot Front members often blare loudly hate sounds that the white supremacists would describe as music while they exercise. In fact, one could argue that much of Rousseau’s inspiration for Patriot Front’s white supremacist propaganda and appearance is taken directly from the Boy Scouts of America’s marketing assets. |

Back in Allen on Sunday 4/25. Town of Fairview is obviously quite pissed off that this location is called both Allen and "Allen Outlet Mall". It's the Fairview Town Center dammit. Unless they plan to march from there to the Allen Premium Outlets on the west side of US 75, which would actually be a nice protest to disrupt what is basically the busiest intersection in Collin County.
