I've already made breakfast, teriyaki steak, and fried rice. Biggest problem I have is the wind coming from behind and cooling it down. I need to make a wind break.

I'll take some pics tomorrow but I used that metal AC duct tape on mine. I always have a south wind here and it was blowing hard when I was burning it in, it would only heat up about 2/3's of it but after the tape job all is well. If you didn't I would strongly suggest using the Blackstone brand goo to season it with, I plan on re-seasoning all my cast iron with it now.  Attached File |

I used bacon grease to season it. It works well. I got the kit with two flippers, two squeeze bottles, and a scraper. The bottles are junk. They leak around the cap. I'm making an outdoor kitchen on the porch. It is nice to cook outdoors when the wind is not blowing my heat away.

I have a griddle, fish fryer, and a smoker. I'm sure we could come up with something to cook. Plenty of wood. I want to build a grill like Wolfy has with the cinder blocks.

At the March event there was a guy that came up Saturday. I don't think he spent the night, big guy, younger than most of us, he had glasses, was white and had what I would say was longer hair from memory. He brought a thermal scope and let me mess with it, I am trying to figure out who it was so I can get details on the optic. Lol
