Quoted: View Quote Everyone I met were awesome. With one exception - a slimly old Italian naturalized US citizen. Guy had typical NYC accent & attitude and was very proud that he was hated by the locals when he lived in Texas 50 years ago. So I had to endure him until after the election when he got into my face, so I asked him one question: "Do you think Biden is corrupt?" The guy went crazy and started calling me all kinds of names. He has the locals fooled so I'm trying to explain how he's an absolute ASSHOLE. So one of the last gatherings I attended he was loudly explaining to a couple of locals how happy he would be when I went back to Texas. So, in his honor, I had the largest flag possible flown over the State Capitol on my birthday and will be taking it back with me. I have an apartment on the top floor so I plan on flying my 6x9 TEXAS flag proudly. FWIW, state officials wouldn't let me present the flag from "The Donald" so it's from the House of Representatives. I decided that I deserved "The Greatest Texan Citizen Award". |

Where is the "spot"?
My inlaws live in Bastrop, across from the big smiling water tower. Would it be against the "rules" to bring my FIL? Or are there no rules in the land of law and order? |

What he said
All Arfcomers are welcome until they're not. If you bring a guest think it thru, are they a confrontational asshole who doesn't respect personal space? Don't bring em because it'll be you who has to take them home. I haven't made a bunch of rules or made it invitation only yet, I don't want to. Be a decent human is all I ask. |

I would be more worried about ARF-holes offending him than the other other way around
I'll talk to him and see. Have to plan ahead, we have a new 2 month old at home, so need to clear it with the wife too. |

Quoted: What were you shilling? Ragtime? View Quote It was one of those "I have no fucking clue what just happened" moments. I don't typically go looking for fights. I'm too old, and sometimes a bit short tempered. So I just assume I was an ass and move on. On that count, I'm probably right more than I should be. ETA: I think Ben is a stand-up guy. He has some cool toys and get's to work on some even cooler toys. I have no idea why he called me a shill, but I respect his right to do so. As was said in a cool movie, "opinions vary". There's no bad blood on this end. |
