Talked to a buddy of mine today at Bonham. (20 minute show, a few ARs and pistols, lots of hunting guns, and a fair collection of hand made knives) He will have a couple of tables at Durant and said it will be a 500 table show and 70% Militaria. While it doesn't attract the floor trades the old show at the stockyards did this is still an interesting show. Restrictions apply as we have talked about before.
It's a nice day trip for you Metroplex guys. Let the wife gamble in the Casino and you go to the north end of the property for the gun show.  Meals run from $ to $$$$. There is also The District, a family-friendly area with bowling and video games plus a movie theater.  Rooms can be cheap if you can work a deal.

Way above! Lol

It was great to meet you and Jeff! I think we are going to do 2 shows per month until we can get components more frequently. Saturday was pretty good and as you said, Sunday was a social event. We had a good time and look forward to the Palestine show. Still planning out April at this time. Any suggestions on which shows to do would be greatly appreciated.

Was gonna try to go today but got a call to work on a SWD.  Maybe tomorrow.   We just put our last 2021/2022 show animal on the truck so I am hoping to start getting a table again if I can find time.   Currently if I don't get some sparkys hired I wont have any time.

I went to Durant today and it was a nice show. I'd say it was probably 55% militaria/ modern guns. One table had a large amount of reloading stuff and powder. Lots of uniforms, helmets, a few era guns, books, memorabilia, and such. A good mix of ARs and modern/bolt guns and a few optics dealers. Lots of overpriced ammo and a bunch of S&W handguns and a nice selection of other pistols. One minor complaint is the venue is kinda dark in places but other than that a pretty good show if it's local to you.

Son and I was there. Lots of empty tables, must not have advertised it much. I scored 1600 rds of Russian 7.62x39 for $5/box , almost felt bad as I don't think the older gentleman vendor was up on current prices or world events. I said ALMOST LOL.

Honestly didn't know of this thread. Son and I are planning on going to Longview next weekend, our thirst for LR primers is insatiable!

Welcome to the N Texas Gunshow Krewe.  Say hi to Jeff for me next weekend, I'm gonna try to finally hit the Poolville swap meet.

The Canton show was the busiest I’ve ever seen.  Like the old Market Hall show used to be. Lots of old and new.

This is the smaller of the two Will Rogers shows - 500+ tables instead of the 1200 of Premier at the end of April.  I always park these days in the garage next to the Natural History Museum for $10.

The last weekend of the month Premier will be at Texas Motor Speedway, in the garage w/ 225 tables.  Free parking at that one.

We were going this morning and a buddy text someone over that way that told him it wasn’t worth the drive. We went to Texarkana instead because it was a shorter trip for a disappointment. I regret that now since we were talking about how good the old market hall shows were. Oh well, Tulsa is around the corner.

Close to 200 tables.  Was told there were over 1400 paying customers on Saturday.  For Canton, that was a lot.

Anyone up for joining me at the Poolville swap meet at the Parker County gun club?  34-55 tables I'm told.  We usually grab lunch at El Paseo in Azle on the way back.

While the idea of a Friday afternoon at a gun show is delightful, there are so few delightful opportunities many punters don't even realize it's a thing.

I've thought about a Thursday night pop-up gunshow, but I think the traditional 2-day weekend format likely works best for most markets.

Whipp Farm has been doing this since the beginning of the year, combining a gun show w/ a fly-in.  Getting many pilots?  Is the venue air-conditioned or is the weather perfect?

Made it up to the TMS show for the first time.  A bit of a disappointment in size.  I didn’t really count but I think I could count actual gun vendors and not have to take my shoes off to do it.  I did see some of the usual tables though.

It was cool to see the cars rolling around the track though.

I've always thought they crammed a lot of guns into a very small space - they've 225 tables.  Are you claiming that less than 10% of the vendors there didn't have guns for sale?

4-5 pilots, no AC, and the weather was good. Mostly families and some drunks.

They shouldn't let drunks into the show.  FFLs can't sell to em anyway.

I can't remember if they have that show scheduled this summer, but if they do, I for one will plan on skipping it.

I was planning on going tomorrow. The last show was very, very crowded. I thought it had a good ratio of guns to non-gun-related stuff last show. The only thing I don't remember seeing there last time was much ammo.  YMMV.

My number may be an exaggeration but it can’t be far off. Maybe if you take a buddy he might have to take off one of his shoes.  They probably have that many tables but the number of vendors is much much less as most had 2-4 tables each.

Either way it was my first time there and I guess I am spoiled by the Fort Worth show size. I did spy some cool stuff on the west wall that used to be parked across from the table we would get at Fort Worth.  They even had one of the OOW BAR’s that was real tempting to take.

I went to the Gilmer show today. Didn’t get to spend a lot of time there. A small show approx 100-150 tables. It’s in two different rooms with tables in the hallways. That’s why the guess at tables has so much of a spread. Prices were very good on tables. Some nice M1 carbines and AKs. Pretty good crowd when I was there.

Gilmer had a tornado go thru last week and the eastern side is pretty torn up. They had the disaster relief set up behind the convention center.
