Ft Worth show looks great for this weekend. Several people set up that I haven't seen in a while.

Longview looks good as well. Actually had a dealer offer me a bunch of 9mm Nate 124gr in plastic baggies for $30 per 50. Guess he is having hard time moving it at stupid prices now. Which I hope is good news.....
I'll be going to the butcher shop about 1745 hrs. Sometimes it's hard to get out at closing. I'm set up on the front wall to the left of the entrance about halfway to the corner. Look for the big baldor buffer I use for sharpening. Also bringing my two wwsd builds to show if anyone wants to look at the concept....hoping to find some carbon fiber forend though.... |

Heads up - Dallas Market Hall is no more. Landlord, in response to gunfire in the parking lot during the last Dallas show, cancelled Premier's reservations. Good ole' soft infringement on the 2nd Amendment.
Mesquite Big Town hall has been sold, so it's unclear how many shows we have left in that building. D/FW will very shortly be down to two major shows, both at Will Rogers in Fort Worth. Unclear if Premier will start back up w/ the Mesquite Rodeo show, or seek other venues. Good news for the smaller out of town shows, bad news for the consumer & Premier. |

I don't see gunshows going back to the Rodeo for more than a few months (if at all). The overflow parking will be covered up in $250,000-390,000 houses by next year. Edit... Changed $350,000 to 390,000 after looking at prices of the three story houses today. |

There have been shows there since what, the late 70s maybe. No way the city of Dallas would let shows back in the Convention Center these days. What about the Convention Center in Irving? Did the one or two shows there sour them on the experience? The Dr Pepper Stars Center in Frisco was nice but a dealer's ND the first day of the first show screwed that deal. There used to be a small show in Richardson at City Hall but they, like Plano, bowed to public pressure and threats of lawsuits. Any other large venues available? |

Slow show but I’ve found 5.56 IMI 62gr for .60/cpr. Also 9mm is moving slow at $30/box. A vendor had $20/box for reloads and had a helluva line for it.

$2198 for a CZ shadow 2 blue grip.
Half the building was tables full of non gun stuff. While I can usually go into a show and just enjoy the show part of it, I paid $30 between parking and two tickets and felt ripped off this time. A lot of the former vendors are gone. Didn’t see much buying and found nothing tempted. Still a better day at the gun show than working though. |

But not nothing new, myself and a buddy were packing up post show back pre-covid, and saw one punch ventilation holes in the trunk of his hooptie mobils... I’m interested in seeing if Mesquite follows this last Fort Worth show. I think 2-3 shows like that might be an interesting boost to finding ammo in stock. I had CCI and Fed $25/30 box on my table and didn’t sell much of it. I know location has some part of it but in the last few shows a lot of the other vendors would clean my buddy out and this time not so much. He sold more to other vendors this show than the people coming in. Several other guys came by with about the same story. I was selling random gun parts and did alright.

One of the ammo guys was bitching that someone else was selling 9mm for $.50/rnd. It's amazing to me how many vendors I've met in the gun industry think that casual price fixing is legal. |

Longview was a fun time, at least for me. The ammo scalpers were not moving near as much ammo at the inflated prices, so i guess everyone is stocked up and will not be buying at 10x retail anymore....which i think is a GREAT thing! The buckshot i had on the table did not even have anyone look at it, and i had it priced cheaper than what i saw on other tables, nor did anyone even ask about the 7.62x39 or 32ACP stuff i had on the table unpriced that i would have let go of very cheap. i did wind up with two M9 bayonets, both are Phrobis III marked and one has Buck 118 on the reverse of the blade! Got rid of some other junk, and wound up trading into a PVS14 which i've been looking for. Now to have some fun in the dark.......
Tyler will be having a show on June 12 and 13 in one of the smaller side buildings by Harvey Hall, not sure if Harvey Hall will be standing by then or not. Will be a smaller show with only 225 or so tables, but no shows in about a year and a half i'm sure this show will be very well attended. Promotor told me that he has never had a show sell this many tables this fast in the years he has been doing shows. |

Decent crowd this morning at Big Town. Only took maybe 15-20 minutes to get in when the doors opened. Got there at 8:50. The guy checking his AR in front of me had a round in the chamber. Officer Nance handled it diplomatically. Lots of ammo and priced about the same as the last show.

Ammo seems to be coming down - saw $.60/rnd 9x19mm FMJ, reasonably priced S&W AR-15s. Good show, not as crowded as it has been.
