ilikelegs posted his experience from this morning 3 posts above yours.  RebleYell is set up w/ several tables.

Long line, but moves fast. Ammo is there, but 75 cents to dollar a round. A few boxes get sold, looks like to new gun owners. Handguns are selling, not so much cheap ass AR parts. Winchester ammo on hand, but expensive and Monarch and Aguila ammo imports are there. Not as crowded in the aisles as I expected, people get in, buy, and leave. Don't plan on buying reloading components.

Thin on militaria and mil material. Maybe 3 Garands in the place, and not one 03 Springfield or earlier. One guy with real MOLLE gear from 21st Cent. Mostly crap AR components and handguns.

I’m stocked but my dad wants some ammo and maybe a new high cap 9 of some sort.

Might hit up the DACA show in two weeks for milsurps & militaria.  It's a decent medium sized show, albeit I don't know how well attended it will be when it's the same weekend as Mesquite.

I may try again tomorrow.  I drove down there today but it just wasn't worth it for me.  It was maybe 1:30pm or so when I got there.  The line strung out the side of the building into the other hall and thru and around it...no way in hell I was waiting thru that since alll I was really looking for this weekend are some S&W 9mm 69/59 factory mags.

I am in the middle of the show.  I was/am trying to sell ammo and firearms I dont want/need.  I had ammo priced below other vendors, but never sold much.  I guess when people go in, they buy the first ammo they see and thats it. One guy was selling PPU JHPs for $70 per box.  Selling.  And I was trying to sell Federal 9MS JHP $20 less.

I'm starting to get my junk ready for Itasca.  Is there anything to do there after the show?  Any places to stay away from?  Not sure if i will get a hotel room there or not just yet.  It's about 2 1/2 hours from my place from what i can tell on  the map.

Itasca is but a speck on the map.  Its a sleepy little town.

Starting to get gear ready for Itasca, and got an email from the promoter for Longview.  Seems it has now been canceled due to the mayor of Longview making the decision.  Seems they are wanting to take "very conservative measures" regarding the election infection.  Hopefully Itasca will not suffer the same fate.

As usual, they've not updated their website.  I'll keep an eye on it.

I just looked at their websight, and it shows the date of the show to be Nov 7 and 8, i had it down for Nov 21 and 22........guess it is good that it got canceled.  I already had taken off for the wrong weekend!  Not sure when it changed, but when i asked off it was for my birthday weekend........

On the CAP Gunshows front page is where i saw the wrong dates on their upcoming shows.  On the Longview page it shows the correct dates.  Oh well, does not matter now i guess.  

Bad thing is, i have to cancel doing Itasca this weekend.  Truck is now not running right, and i do not have time to fix it before i can hit the road.  But i did see on their websight they have Azle on the weekend that Longview canceled.......and the 22nd is my birthday, so might have some fun that weekend.

Unremarkably, their website is crappy, and you're looking at the dates for the show above Longview.

Mesquite report today - didn't sell a thing today, but the weekend was a success.  Picked up 1k of Tula 9mm yesterday for $500, snagged 2x curved 20 rnders for the FIL today & some slugs to rezero my now 19" rifled slug bbl.  Also, the boy lost his phone in the parking lot while carrying stuff out to the truck, and some kind soul found it & called the number Apple put on the screen, so will pick it up tomorrow.

Don't know that I have much to sell next weekend, will attend the FW show but likely won't have a table.  @RebleYell - where do you want to meet for dinner - BBQ or Italian?

Did anyone go to FW today? I'm thinking about going tomorrow.

For you D/FW guys, unless you are close to Denison and just want to enjoy the ride up here, you may want to think about this one. It's usually very small, as in 15 minutes to see it all.
The first show at this venue was great but they have gotten progressively smaller.  Usually a few AR's, small selection of pistols, some odds and ends, and a few pawn shop guns.
The food is good at the Hilton but $$$ and HeyDay Entertainment next door has a good bar upstairs.

I'm thinking I may hit Canton Saturday to see RebleYell.  If I have enough time I could push on to Denison.

I'll be going to Canton and sitting with some friends there.  Maybe both days.  But working overnight Saturday and Sunday will not be doing any knife sharpening.

Oh, come on man.  You have fingers to spare.  The working man needs sharp knives, comrade.

Gee, that is just what we need.....playing with a high speed buffer, razor sharp objects, all while i'm falling asleep while standing...... that would make for things to be a bit more exciting than i like!  But if someone there has some good first aid gear (RebelYell) we should be ok!

Canton's a good medium show.  Plenty of ARs and ammo.  Expensive, of course, but that's the market right now.

Denison was a bit larger than last time with a few dealers who were bummed Oklahoma was canceled. A few AR's and one dealer selling scopes and such. Lot's of hunting type rifles and shotguns. A few pistols and lots of knives. . A good supply of ammo but pretty pricey. It's a 20-minute walkthrough at best.

Where is your table at, may swing that way and check it out. Be good to meet someone from this site.

Amusingly, there's now 3x Marlin Camp 9s there, and one of the magazine dealers has 30 rnd mags for em.

Wheel guns are under rated.  I love a good revolver.  Hell, I love a mediocre revolver.

Wheel guns are obsolescent.  There are only a few niche situations in which they are superior to a semi-auto.

The Ruger SP 101 is mediocre (awful DA), but am loving the ease at which it loads & unloads w/ clips.
