A Shepard scope might be just what you need, they are not cheap, I saw one at the local gun shop it was about $500.

What are you going to do with it? Hunting? Target shooting? Long range shooting?

i would like to use it for an all around precision riftle. primarily long-range/target and hunting. I would also like an illuminated rectilie.

I have a Vortex Viper PA 6.5-20x44 on my DPMS SASS. It is a very bright, clear scope. Mine has mil-dots and it not illuminated. They have several reticles, and I think an illuminated model. My scope was only $399.00 but easily compares to higher priced scopes.
Look at the Vortex line, and the Bushnell 4200 series. The Nikon Monarch scopes are also very good. Jim |

I have the same vortex scope as above. Great glass for the money. You can get custom knobs for the scope to match your load from vortex which is nice. If you don't want a 20x get the smaller one. I got the 20 mainly for hunting so I can make sure of what I'm about to shoot is exactly what I want to shoot. Once I verify I turn it back to 14 or 16 power.

+1 for Super Sniper I have a 20x that has glass just about as good as my L vX3. The TX sun can be brutal without a sunshade

In the under $500 range, super sniper all day. No budget constraints and I would go nightforce.
