I need rings (probably Leupold Mark IV, but not sure what height I need) and need the scope mounted and bore cited (I already have a LaRue mount) in DFW?  Preferably Dallas or Irving.  Anyone have suggestions on a place that can mount the scope and site the scope that would also have rings in stock?

Alpine can do it.

I just had Academy do 2 of my guns.  It's free even if you don't buy the scope and rings from them and there is usually at least 1 guy behind the counter that actually knows what he's doing.  They do mounting and boresighting.

Cabalas and Bass pro both do it

It's pretty easy to do yourself.  I have zero mechanical ability and I can do it.  It's easy with the internet.

Yes it's easy but having someone with a boresighter will save you about $20 in ammo costs.  Last time w/o a boresight, I was 3 feet right and 4 feet low at 25 yards...took me a full box to get it in the black.  With a boresight, took me 3 rounds.

I am usually within 6" after a manual boresight w/out tools.

Thanks guys.  Do you know if Bass Pro or Academy sales Mark IV rings?  I am not sure what height I need so I want to talk to someone who knows before I buy them.

What kind of rifle are you mounting it on?

What size scope and base are you using?

I have a SPS Tactical with a Mark IV 40 mm objective mounted in TPS low rings on a Seekins 20MOA base.

It is a Rem 700 SPS Varmint with a Vortex Viper 6-24x50 scope.  I have a 0 MOA LaRue rail.

Docs looks like my best bet...I think I am going to give him a try.
