Pretty good lists, do a search.. That Holiday Inn is a few blocks away from the river walk, and the bars & restaurants along it, but within walking distance.
If you don't mind driving an hour or so, Fredericksburg has the Nimitz museum. Has some interesting displays. |

I'd get a rental car.
San Antonio is pretty spread out - and many of the better spots to hit are NOT within comfortable walking distance of Market Square. |

All of the major rental places show sold out
There is a large conference in town this week (why I am here) I may try to get one later in the week |
