I've found the selection at the army surplus stores is pretty bad.  I generally get mine at the gun show.

I get mine from Midway... prices were pretty fair, and cans were all in great shape.

Look for Harvey at the gun show this weekend, he has a bunch, they are in great shape and are always priced right.

Good guy

I was there a few weeks back and they had some left,  I've bought maybe 10 from them in the last few years.

How much?  Gander Mnt generally has pretty inflated prices.

Command Post on I-45 North has/had a few pallets.  I think they were $4-5 a piece but this was several years ago when I bought em.

They always seem to have 30cal and 50 cal cans in the right/rear of the store.

I ALWAYS get them at the auto parts swap meets when they have them. I prefer the WWII type, both .30 and .50. But we do reenactments and displays and such so they fit in with that, too.

Is he the MREs guy?

Most of mine have come from either the gun shows (Harvey?) or the Command Post on I45 North (near Rankin). The Command Post usually has a large pile of uglies, ~75% of which are junk. But look for a few minutes and check hinges and clasps and you'll probably find some. Take 'em by the spray car wash and blast 'em and they'll be good to go; you'll probably have enough squirt time left to get some mud out of your wheel wells.

That Command Post also has olive drab spray paint.
