I read about it on ARFCOM (Hall of Heros).
Monsoor. There have been four MoH in Iraq so far with one more already submitted awaiting presidential approval.
Michael A. Monsoor - USN, Master At Arms Second Class, Saved the lives of his fellow SEALs at his sniper position by diving on a grenade.
Jason Dunham - USMC, Corporal, Fought hand-to-hand with the enemy and hurled himself on a grenade to protect fellow Marines.
Paul R. Smith - USA, Sergeant First Class, Held the enemy at bay allowing for the wounded to be carried out.
Ross A. McGinnis - USA, Specialist, Saved the lives of four soldiers by diving on a grenade while inside HMMWV.
Submitted: Sgt. Rafael Peralta, USMC. During house to house operations and after being hit multiple times with AK-47 fire, leaving him severely wounded, Sgt. Peralta was still conscious when an insurgent threw a grenade. Peralta on the floor and despite his wounds was able to reach for the grenade and pull it under his body absorbing the majority of the lethal blast and shrapnel which killed him instantly, but saved the lives of his fellow Marines.
