[ARCHIVED THREAD] - anyone seen the eagle in Vidor?

Guys at work that live out in Vidor say there's an eagle nesting on the side of highway 105 just up the road from the gun range. They said the traffic can be a hassle and the shoulders are pretty rough from everybody parking, gonna head out there today and see.

I haven't seen that one but I have seen eagles in the area.

I don't know about Vidor, but there are several pairs of bald eagles in Brazos and Grimes Counties. Lake Bryan in Brazos and Gibons Creek and around the old TMPA mines in Grimes.

Rode out there and enjoyed the heck out've it. Lots of real nice people that were very knowledgeable, some had binos, a few with telescopes on tripods. Great experience!

Depends on where yer from. If you head south outa Vidor on 105, it's on the right just before you get to Dirty Harry's gun range.
From the other direction, about a coupla miles or so after ya cross 1442, just past 1135 it'll be on the left. Cars on both sides of the road, cain't miss it.

Lots of kids with their parents, be safe and ready to shut it down when ya come up on 'em. The parking isn't bad as some said, shoulders are still in good shape.
