Deadly Accident Near El Paso

El Paso (WBAP) - Authorities in Arizona say human remains found in that state may be from a Texas accident earlier in the day.

About 3 o'clock Sunday morning, the driver of a pickup truck lost control and traveled over the median into oncoming lanes of traffic on Interstate-10, about 25 miles southeast of El Paso.

The driver was ejected, and the pickup came to a rest in the far right-hand westbound lane, Glancey said.

Just after the accident, a tractor-trailer drove over the body, and the interstate was closed in both directions. The west-bound 18-wheeler didn't stop, and officials are still looking for it.

Later Sunday, near Tucson, Arizona, 265 miles to the west, authorities found human remains they believe could be connected to the accident.
