About a year ago I rescued a Springfield Mil-Spec with some attempted custom work done to it from a guy on my old ship. The mainspring housing is stuck like it was forced on, the new grip safety wasn't properly fitted so it cuts the web of my hand when I shoot it and some crappy drop in rear sight was added on also. I'd rather not push this to the back of the safe, it shoots like a dream when I wear gloves and the rear sight is tightened down. Can you guys recommend a 'smith to take this too when I get back from the sandbox?

Alex has tweaked two of my 1911s including one SA. I liked the trigger before he worked it. When I got it back I LOVE the trigger.
I also have a series 80 Colt. Because of some additional parts (re; lawyer parts) getting a good trigger on one is not easy. But Alex did it.
He is also a great guy, I could spend hours just looking at the gunsmith tools he has hanging on the walls.

He has a sign on his gate that cautions one about the guard dog. Be careful, the tail on that big old yellow lab is capable of knock a person down.
