What you need is the Form 4. However there currently is noone in Harris county that will sign off. NFA Investments and several others will be along shortly to fill you in on how this problem can be navigated.

Incorporate. After you get your suppressor be sure to send a pic of it to the Sheriff and thank him for helping you get the suppressor... it will confuse him for days.

I laughed.... I did see a long thread about a LLC verus a LLP ...but thought that was for a dealers license and not individual purchase? Going hunting in the hill country this weekend hope to read more Sunday evening |

No...Major Jaun Jorge told me no way on ANY suppressors, a maybe on FA, and the only reason he signed my form 1 for my SBR is because I don't live in Houston city limits. The only way you can own it is with a LLC or similiar |

So they will sign for a LLC.? Is any other county around here more user friendly? If I do a LLC it could be in any county. My best friend lives in Colorado County. |

With a business entity (Corp or LLC), no signoff is necessary. Only "natural persons" require a signoff.

Don't hesitate contacting Keith. If anyone can demystify it for you, he's the one. He helped me with my first NFA purchase, including setting up an LLC. He's a genuinely good guy.

Exactly 6.5 business hours I faxed to them and I have a LLC Certificate of Filing from the Secretary of State. Could not be any faster than that.
