Had the wonderful opportunity to go and spend $225 there today with the wife.

My opinion -

NICE.  Nothing that special really.
The ailes are larger and there is more open space.
You can tell there are some things that are higher end.
The put it together yourself furniture is nicer
The produce was about 2Xs as nice as the Walmart neighborhood store
The  electronics sectin was nice/cool - 100Xs nicer than a regular Walmart--
Nice TVs, etc....
But the biggest thing I saw that was the WOMEN..

OUTSTANDING!!!  I SAW SOME FINE WOMEN.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
--As Expected for that part of town.

ANYHOW -- the outdoors section is horrible.
Not a single rifle and very very small section - period..
BUT ---  WHAT DO YOU EXPECT  it is suppesed to be the HIGH END FUTURE FLAGSHIP type of WALMART.

All in all - nice - but wont make a special trip for sure.

A WALMART IS STILL A WALMART

Must be a new definition of "high-end". Like a Yugo XL is higher end than the ordinary Yugo. I really do not see the Willow Bend crowd doing much shopping there. If you want to assemble it yourself, drive 5 miles north to IKEA.

Amen to that.

PLANO - This is also in PLANO, TEXAS

IT IS WORTH THE TRIP TO SEE THE WOMEN - for sure.

Wife and I seem to hit the COSTCO across the HWY evry weekend - we don't live far from there.

asking because i am in the market for a Futon.  WM has some nice ones on the net but only the junky ones in local stores.  did you see any nice wood ones on your trip?

Man I just heard they have a GREAT wine selection. Definitely gonna stop by there tonight.

 Yup

I think the reason why they don't have firearms or related products was to give space for the wine.  They have a great selection of Sam's and Great Value branded wines.

I've been hearing rumors for about the last 8 months that Walmart was going to cease selling firearms and firearm related products within the next 2 years.  The reason was it's less of a PR hassle to do so.

I'm not kidding about the wine.
