Hey guys - in case you didnt know:

Sportsman's Warehouse in Lewisville has some pretty good prices on ammo:

1.  American Eagle AE223 55gr is $3.99 per box/20, or $199.50/K.

2.  Q3131A 55gr is $4.39/20, or $219.50/K.

3.  Black Hills Blue Box 55gr is $10.99/50, or $219.80/K.

4.  Black Hills Blue Box 52gr HP Match is $12.99/50, or $259.80/K

Those are pretty good deals, especially for a retail outlet.  I didnt realize this earlier, but their annual customer appreciation sale just ended today - pretty much everything in the store, including AMMO, was 10%.

I got some deals.

Before.  Those are listed prices.

So - Ammoman has AE223 on sale for $209 delivered.  That is a better deal than $199 plus tax.... for sure.  But still a decent option for local ammo.  Especially on the Black Hills stuff.

And especially, for me, today, with 10% off.

Their pistol caliber rounds are way overpriced.

So even at $1 more... Academy (and WalMart) are pretty much the "deals" around here...

Yep.  Maybe we need a local "Texas Ammo Prices" thread.... that could be tacked, to help all members.

Then TheGayGoat could come along in his "housekeeping" and untack it, link it to his worthless bulk tacked thread, and watch all our hard work fall off into the archives?

Sound like fun?

just make a simple web page and put it in your signature line... that'd be easier for us to find as you are a post whore ...

and also update for sales and discounts, like the 10% you just got...

that would be helpful...

also, I looked into reselling ammo, but you have to buy a LOT of ammo to get good breaks from the wholesalers, that's where Academy and WalMart buying power comes in, and bulk shipping is cheaper on heavy crates (I assume) than a couple cases here & there...

hell, the gun show this weekend-- prices on ammo seemed HIGHER than Academy and WalMart-- especially Winchester USA 9mm... almost $7/box+tax at the show if you buy a 500rd case of 115gr!

Not cost effective to resell as you saw, but having pallets shipped to split for groups is not a bad way to save a few bucks.  Logistics can be a nightmare....

The best deal I've found around here on .45 is at Military Gun Supply.  1K 230gr RN for $188.00 or so.

If you can afford all that ammo, why can't you, or your brother, afford to get your own *individual* Arfcom accounts, and contribute for a $20 team membership?

Back on topic.....

9mm WWB in 50 round boxes are now $4.63 at Wal-Mart. 100 round boxes were $11.00.

223 was still $7.73 for a 40 round box of WWB.

depends on the wal mart I guess... Blazer Brass and Winchester USA are the same price, at the store near me, and IIRC, yesterday it was $5.99/box of 50... Academy for me is cheaper (i.e. CCI), if not the same... and Academy sells Winchester USA 50rd boxes of 115gr bullets, whereas the WalMart near me sells 124gr ammo in 50rd boxes, and 100rd packs are 115gr....

I went by Walmart tonight.

9mm was $5.96 a box/50, and $11.34/100.

If you find it for $4.63, kindly post WHICH Wal-Mart that was at.

Who says I haven't been a paid member? I've had memberships before. Although bronze ($20) and not gold, I was still a member for two years.

If they would let us have our original accounts back, instead of allowing us use aliases, such as this one, then *maybe* I'd consider becoming a paid member again.

PS: and what I spend my money on, and how I spend it, is my business, not yours.

The Wal-Mart I purchased the WWB 9mm is located at I-20 and Cooper. (Actually one block south of I-20).

I've been around for a couple of years, but the whining and bitching is starting to overtake the HTF.

If you don't have anything to contribute to the thread, then don't.  Is it that hard?

Yep-- learn to ignore FALARAK and some of the others. It seems like you guys are always starting the bitching lately... for example, read this thread-- FALARAK started bitching about how I never shoot, then starts bitching about memberships and stuff. We were all on topic til he started bitching and moaning.
