I'm in! Is he available?
Shooting: where Dinner: what is his favorite place? |
Sounds good.
But... are you aware there is an AR-15 armorer's course sched that weekend in Plano? I know of several of us that are attending that during the day. |
No, I didn't know about the armorer's course - I just chose the weekend because our kids are going to be visiting their grandparents and we'll be able to come. Will the people in the course be able to make it to dinner?
Also, is there a DFW guy who can take this and run with it? All I know is that Dallas is north of Austin. I have no idea what's close to what or where to shoot or anything of that nature. |
well... since the armorer's course is at backwoods.... maybe the shoot could be at backwoods... although they don't allow FMJ.
Then when the course is out, ppl in the course can joins in the fun, then we can all head to dinner at 82nd's favorite place, maybe after cleaning up first.... |
The closest place to probably go eat will be around Frisco. About 15mins or so from Backwoods.
If someone is more familiar with the area... will you suggest a place? |
Plenty of places in Frisco-- but I think we should let Chuck decide. |
If Chuck is from mid-cities then wouldn't it be best to chose a better location than Frisco? Maybe Lewisville? Denton? etc...looking on Google Earth at the moment....on second thought, Frisco is not such a bad idea....if everyone is going to Backwoods Traps....
I doubt that I'd have the energy to hang out and go shooting but I'd be very grateful to meet up for lunch or dinner.
It will be easy to spot me, that's for sure ----> I'm looking forward to it. You can bank on me being there. |
Woo! Ok, so dinner suggestions from the Texas yankees? (That's anywhere north of Round Rock. )
Wouldn't the honor of the choice of eatery go to 82nd? |
I don't want to put anyone out by having to drive all the way to Arlington. Maybe somewhere in the middle - like Lewisville or some such. I'm up for whatever the consensus is.
Buck's Brewery at Bass Pro? Food is not bad and the restaurant is roomy. |
I thought you liked Mexican food. |
Sounds good to me! |
Yep!!! They get pretty crowded on the weekends. We need to get a head count. |
sounds like done to me me and one other txl |
PERFECT -S.A. |
And there's the big tanks next door we can dunk people in if they get pissy with the waitress over how many... |
Uh... Arlington IS in the middle! |
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm....beer.
What time will you guys be out of your tinker toy class? |
I'm not going to the tinker toy class, but will be tinkering with something.....if you're buying I can come early and keep ya company. |
May I humbly suggest that on Friday, Feb 24th, 2006, the Plano VFW will be having a Mardi Gras Party complete with Cajun cuisine (shrimp etoufee, red beans & rice, andouille sausage, etc.; $10.00 a plate) with a live Country Band.
I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone. It's been far too long.
Aw man, wish we could come up on a Friday! I would dearly love to go to a VFW dinner sometime. Y'all ever do them on Saturday? |
Beginning the March 20, we will open a "full menu" cafe Monday-Saturday.
Dude you had me up till you said Country Band |
IIRC, it runs 0800-1700 on both Saturday and Sunday. |
dinner at 1900~19:30??? |
May I humbly suggest that maybe that's why you don't quite "connect" with Texas gals? |
May I humbly remind you that all Texas gals don't like country? |
She's pulling your leg, Chris. All Texas women like Country music - I read it in a Rule Book somewhere...
I think I read the same book. |
whew.... she had me for a second there. |
I beg to differ. Most of the women I have met in TX, most not all, HATE. Yes HATE, country music.
Anyways, what time we eating??? |
Four, five, or six - that seems like a fairly normal time frame. Not too early, not too late. It doesn't matter to me. |
We doin this thing in shifts now??? J/K |
