I saw these in a magazine and it's the first I have heard of Smith trying to make it in the AR market.  They are calling them the M&P15 (Military and Police)   Allison

I saw them at Shot Show. They looked like anyother AR. The Smith & Wesson logo is cool though. The rumor mill, and that is all it is so take it for what it is worth, states that someone else is making them anyways, someone already in the business of making AR15s. I heard Rock River or Stag from more than one person. I have no Idea but it makes sense if true.
